Let’s Go Get that Dino! TR 9/1-9/10, a mom and daughter trip! PTR short version, 1/27/24*

Andi was a little perturbed because she wasn’t a galactic hero, oh wait wrong ride. I actually had a higher score than she did! She did not like that one bit. We will try it again at some point but it certainly isn’t a favorite.

Congratulations! It is nice to win for a change.

We walked fast and made it back to our room just as the skies opened up!

I love when we can miss the downpours.

We got to the restaurant and asked for a table outside. We each ordered a margarita and decided to share a chicken burrito. The restaurant still serves chips and salsa without an up charge yay!

I wish the WDW restaurants would serve chips and salsa, bread, anything a normal restaurant would serve without an upcharge.

There wasn’t any set time for them so we lucked out when we got there and they were out. It was really cool to watch The Death Eaters interact with guests. They also go on the stage and do a little show with their wands. I’m so glad we saw them before it got dark.

I am a big Harry Potter fan and this would have been what I would have wanted to see.

I'm still trying to catch up but as a NICU Nurse, I had to comment on this...

I never knew both your kids were preemies? Such miracles, all of them. And a fitting story since we just celebrated World Prematurity Day a couple days ago

Yes, I had such wonderful experiences with the NICU nurses. Jack was in the hospital for 8 weeks! My little premies are miracles and all grown up now!

Happy Thanksgiving


Two weeks from today I will be flying to Walt Disney World!
I’m getting really excited!

It will be a busy fun filled jam packed vacation! We plan on doing a 4 park day, fireworks, Candlelight Processional, monorail crawl, resort hopping, and Disney Springs.

I am thinking of taking a quick ride over to Universal Studios on my first day to check out the decorations and pick up my AP Christmas magnet!

Here are two new t-shirts and ears for the trip! I have found these ears on Amazon and they are way more comfortable than the ones Disney sells and a fraction of the cost. I got two pairs for $16.00. I also have a non Christmas pair I wore in September and very comfortable, no ear pain!

We did the Minion attraction too. I did not do well on my score. I couldn't tell what I was shooting. It was a really cute attraction.

“What’s happening evasive maneuvers, left, right!”

Today is Saturday 9/9/23! This is our last full day in Orlando.

We are awake a little earlier today.

I enjoyed the deck again for a little while before heading out to the parks.

Our plan was to spend some time in the parks and to do the Little Boo scavenger hunt.

First we walked through the Jurassic Park Tribute store, this was really cool and we had the whole place to ourselves this morning!




We picked up our Scavenger map and started the hunt in the store we bought the map. Each store had a hidden Little Boo hiding. There also was a little Boo sign in each store participating with a symbol on his treat bag. You did a word scramble using the different symbols. I can’t remember exactly what the phrase was now. I think it said something like seek out Lil Boo.

We also did some favorite rides while looking for Boo

ET, Transformers, MIB, Minions (old ride not new), Mummy, Jimmy Fallon, and Gringotts!

We decided to eat lunch at Toothsome’s Chocolate Factory.

We saw Penelopy Toothsome and her robot Jacques while waiting to be seated.

Our table was on the upper level. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated. We did not have an advanced reservation.

We decided to share an entree and order a dessert.

Our choice was the wild mushroom and chicken risotto. I didn’t get a picture of it but it was delicious! Both of us loved this and I would order it again.

The dessert we had was a Brookies, Cookies and Cream. This was delicious and nut free!

After a wonderful lunch we went into IOA to ride a few more rides and find Boo to complete the scavenger hunt.

Andi rode Hulk and Velocicoaster while I meandered around the shops.

We rode Jurassic Park, Cat in the Hat, Hagrid’s small rollercoaster and Spider-Man.

We headed back to the resort for a little respite before our evening plans.
