Someone suggested in another thread starting a thread with all the information about the lesser known or non-publicized entertainment at Disneyland.

So here we go..

I would like info on
Entrance show-
castle show-
firehouse show-
Alice musical chairs-
Mary poppins-

Place, times, days of the week, how long, and any other info you care to share would be most helpful.. If you any show you'd like to add let me know..

No entrance show at DL
Haven't seen the castle show for years
Alice Musical chairs at Coke Corner usually around 2 pm
I assume you mean the Mary Poppins show with the band: in front of Castle about 3, but varies. Ask a CM to check their magical "yellow"guide
Firehouse show does not show every day. You'll need to ask the CM inside the firehouse.

When I go this week, I'll check for more details and post here if no one else has further information about the specific days of the week. I usually just kind of "run" into the show instead of scheduling it, so I haven't paid attention to what days they are.

OK.
You can thank the trolls and spammers. The information about these lesser-known entertainment offerings may come back (looking unlikely) if they are ever controlled properly on this site.

I don't know that there is an Entrance show (like MK Welcome Show). I didn't see one when I was at DL.

Around 10am or so, I've seen the Main Street band head out to the entrance to play. Sometimes other characters join them. I have seen the Mad Hatter lead families in 'choreographed' marching, etc., to the music of the band. Example - once he had adults with strollers march in a circle, then line up and go forward then backward. People got a real kick participating and watching.

I know it is listed an entertainment but hardly anyone ever attends the Flag Retreat Ceremony, which makes me sad. It is nicely done and very patriotic.

There's a castle show? I don't think I ever knew that?

There used to be one in front of the castle with Mickey and Minnie and company singing and dancing, but I haven't seen one for at least 4 years, probably longer. I'm pretty sure it was cancelled.

^^^^^THIS!!!^^^^^::yes::

Every time we visit, we make a point(at least once) of sitting on the far left tree planter(in the shade;)), to watch the Disneyland Band around 10:00am, in front of the floral Mickey. Many times, Alice and the Mad Hatter have been with them, but we've also seen a Princess or two, on occasion.

We also make a point of choosing a day to watch the Disneyland Band perform in front of the Castle, and we have seen at various times: Mickey by himself, Alice and the Mad Hatter, or even the "Fab Five".

We also try to catch the "Pearly Band" later in the afternoon, in front of the Castle.

We usually watch the "Firehouse Five Plus Two" in the later afternoon, in front of the Firehouse, and sometimes they are by themselves, but other times we have seen Goofy, or Chip and Dale, or Mickey, etc. along with them(not all together---separately). The Dapper Dans also sometimes perform in the later afternoon in front of the Firehouse.

We also love the Flag Retreat Ceremony, at the Flagpole in front of the Main Street Train Station(times vary with the season)---it is quite moving.:thumbsup2

this thread should add *spoiler warning* to the title.
big part of the fun of these entertainment offerings is exactly cause they are less known about.

I think what most people don't realize is that you can see this on their website. You have to choose the Park Atmosphere Entertainment check mark on the calendar page. I didn't realize this. It shows everything and most of the Social Media folks won't give you those hours until the day of. It doesn't show the Musical chairs though. Best way to find out the time is ask the Piano player at Refreshment corner.

Only done on "slow" days at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
They give different Rubber Duckys to little kids, have them toss the ducks into the stream
and yell Quack Quack Quack to make them swim.
The first one to the bridge wins. All get a sticker.

Oh we will be there the week after Labor Day, meant to be quiet. I hope they do this!
