less water on GRR in January?

I was just watching a Disneyland Behind the Scenes show on Netflix, and they said that the water flow/content of Grizzly River Run is lowered during "colder months" so guests can ride without getting as wet. Is this really true? Can we ride GRR at the end of this month and really expect we WON'T get totally soaked? I'm skeptical...

I thought the same thing. We were there for Christmas & my dh kept telling me to put a poncho on so I didn't get wet & then end up freezing. I insisted that the water level was lower in the winter months so we wouldn't get that wet & there was nothing to worry about. Of course, I ended up getting completely soaked (wetter than I've ever gotten during the summer months) and he was able to gloat and laugh at me. I say ride at your own risk and be prepared to get soaked.

Oh, you can still get totally drenched, especially depending on where in the raft you're sitting and how, um, "heavy" your raft is What they mean as far as less water in the winter is things like the geyser that usually soaks guests during the summer is timed to go off at a different time in the winter so that it doesn't get you wet - things like that.

One way u can tell is by looking @ the water by the wharf. That lake there is all GRR's water supply.
