I should ask for this for my birthday.

You do get the magazine. I have heard it is close to being a coffee table book - 12x12, full color glossy, about 75 pages. I think I would spend the money just to get the magazine.

It's too bad it's 75 bucks just basically for the magazine and the ability to buy some shirts. Which I actually like the look of the D23. I really do. But I am not going to buy a membership just to buy the shirt.

Retail for the magazine is $15-$16. So, joining seems like a good deal - not much more, and you get the chance for exclusive merchandise (much more than shirts, I am hoping.)

I am debating joining now.

Well I was just referring to what I saw on disneyshopping. Who knows what else is out there! The magazine does look nice. I guess I was just hoping it would be something more "magical" than 4 magazines and a membership card But who knows...I will probably end up joining just for the shirt

i joined and i bought the launch day mickey shirt...if you want it to say "launch day May 10, 2009" make sure you order it today...if you order it tomorrow it will NOT say that. i'm excited i think it is going to be much more than just some magazines...i mean the member certificate alone is sooo cool, and there is already going to be a members only preview showing of the next Pixar movie "Up"...things like that make it worth the money to me!

I signed up for the membership as I am interested in attending the expo on Sept 10 - 13 since I will be at Disneyland anyway on Sept 9th for the Haunted Mansion 40th event

Looks like the prize for "what is Are you 23?" all about goes to whomever suggested it was a new version of the MKC membership.

I wish they'd give us a hint as to what the special events are, because if they're free or discounted and cool (like special previews of rides or opportunities to go on special themed cruises/adventures that are D23 members-only...other than the "Up" screening, which to me doesn't seem that special), then it may be worth it for me. I also wonder if you can get a discounted renewal fee, instead of having to buy a new membership every year. They really need to start creating an FAQ for D23.

I wish I could buy just the "Are you 23?" shirt (so that I could iron on letters underneath that say "Yes, I am." and wear that all day on my 23rd birthday).

With the help of an American friend (of course the site wouldn't let me register with a foreign address) I'm signed up now as well.

The magazines sound cool, there's some exclusive pins (I'm a pin trader too) and also there's some surprise gift mentioned that you receive with your membership kit. I like my mysteries.

Ok, so maybe I am totally clueless, but what shirt is this? Is it the the one with band leader Mickey? What about the black signature "Are you 23?" shirt. That also has a launch date, but I am wondering it that will change tomorrow too.... I don't want to have to say that I ~NEED~ them both!
