It's finally almost time. In 23 hours I will be leaving for the airport! My to-do list today seems huge but I'm so excited.

I can't believe how much I learned about WDW from these boards. This will be my 12th trip but probably the best yet!

Some tips I picked up:

1. Free dining plan. I had already booked my trip and would probably never have known about the free dining being offered if it wasn't for these boards. It wasn't really "free" as I gave up a AAA discount of $142 to get it. But that comes to $10 per person per day so it is a great deal!

2. Make ADR's. I have never reserved in advance and only had a reservation once. We called while in MK one day and made a reservation for Brown Derby for same day. This trip I have 8 ADR's. I called each day at 90 days out and got everywhere that I wanted.

3. Boma's, Kona Cafe, etc. I had never heard of some of these restaurants before. But from reading the boards these are two of the "new" ones that I will try this trip.

4. TourGuideMike. I'd never heard of him until I came here. Not everyone is a fan of Mike but I think I got some useful information from signing up.

5. Tip advice. I'm not real consistent with tipping housekeeping when I travel. After reading the boards I feel convicted to tip mousekeeping each day. I'm enjoying a fabulous vacation and they are working for low wages. A few extra dollars each day won't break the bank. I even decorated some envelopes to put the money in.

6. Magical Express. I had planned to rent a car. After ME first started I was really glad that I would have my own car. But after reading people's experiences over the last few months and seeing the improvements that have been made I'm canceling my rental car. And I'm going to trust them with my luggage. I'm not planning to collect it from baggage claim. Not dragging my luggage through the airport and hotel seems like one of the great perks of using this service. I hope all goes well. I'll let you know when I get back.

7. Fantasmic. I've never been to this and wouldn't necessarily put it on my itinerary list for this trip either if I hadn't read all the reviews about it.

8. Pay it forward. I thought mailing postcards sounded like so much fun. Well, I couldn't say no to anyone so I'm mailing 16 postcards! How great to send a little pre-trip magic to a child.

9. Over-the-top Disney planning. I realized that I'm not really obsessive about planning. I'm normal, just like all you guys, right?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all the great advice. I'm sure I've picked up even more but these were just some things I thought of this morning.

I'm leaving today too and can relate to everything you wrote. The dining plan and many of the new restaurants we are going to is going to be a fun experience!

Thanks to everyone for their great advice and I'll make sure to come back and post a report to give a little back. I'll say hi to Mickey for you! ::MickeyMo
