I have used Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine for YEARS. It is the only hairspray that I have found that really holds, isn't too watery, and does not leave sticky residue in my hair.

However, I need a cheaper alternative as we are trying to find ways to cut back on expenses and DH thinks $25/month on hairspray is too much. :confused3 :rotfl2: :lmao:

I love, Love Loreal...I think it is their meda spritz??? Awesome....the one and only I keep going back to....and the smell isn't as horrid like most sprays! I used to like PM ...but I have to say I like this better! I used to use it in my big hair days! :) and still use it !

I found a "copy" of Paul Mitchell hairspray at WalMart and love it. They have a copy of most styles of the Mitchell hairspray. I think it's just named "Professional" and then lists the product it's comparable to.

Thanks for the memory! I lived on that stuff in high school! It definitely really holds, and I certainly haven't run across anything like it in a long time!

If you go to the same salon all the time, ask if they will order you a gallon of Freeze & Shine. It might run you $50-$60 for the gallon, but you can refill an 8 oz bottle 16 times! I've bought my Freeze and Shine by the gallon for years. Granted, I'm a stylist, so I get them at cost, but it is a HUGE savings to buy the larger sizes. I've tried many hairsprays through the years and always go back to F&S. One of the things I like the most about it is it's water soluble, so you don't get a buildup from it.
