Less crowds at casual restaurants during the food and wine festival?

Is it possible that during the food and wine festival less people go to the usual, casual order at the counter places around Disney (like the Cantina pavilion for example where it can be hard to get a seat) or would you say there is no effect on crowd levels at these places?

I would think it depends on when and which day of the week you are there.

We were there last November during the final week. During the week it was fine but come the weekend, between it being the last weekend and Dapper days going on, it was a zoo. The only time I saw it busier was New Year's Eve.

The problem is if you don't see something you want to eat or drink at the festival you are going to go to one of the regular places to eat so they will be as crowded as ever, so you might have to wait a little bit for a table.

I think it just draws a TON of people and they go EVERYWHERE......we were at Mexico on a Saturday afternoon I believe, and the line for la Cava was like almost to the beginning of the ramp....
