Les Chefs de France, Remy, ADR timing Question..

So I've read up on what time Remy comes out at Chefs... My husband's favorite Pixar movie is Ratatouille, so I thought it would be fun to go there for lunch, and to see our good buddy Remy. I noticed that he comes out at 1:40, so what I wanted to ask is if we made a 1:10-1:20 ADR, would we be totally okay in catching Remy? Or should we make a slightly earlier one?

I ask because I'm concerned we will show up for our ADR and have to wait for people to clear a table, but will miss him if people purposely stay later than normal in order to catch Remy. Any advice would be excellent, as times are flexible at the moment and I want to give ourselves the best chance possible of seeing Remy (unless of course there are technical issues).

If it doesn't matter to you when Remy comes out during your meal (i.e., seeing him at the start or the end is fine), then I would give yourself as much of a buffer as possible. He starts his rounds at 1:40 (barring technical difficulties) and makes one round of the restaurant. He doesn't go back to tables that were being seated or were gone for any reason (e.g., in the bathroom). So, if Les Chefs is running late (which is possible) I wouldn't want to just miss him - in other words I would try for an ADR around 1:00 pm or slightly earlier.

I would make an adr for NO later than 1pm..For one Les Chefs tends to seat on time to quite LATE..Also make sure it is not a Sunday( he does not appear on Sundays).Once he has gone thru the dining room , he is DONE.He does not backtrack to people who haved missed him.So ...once seated , stay seated till you see him.

Perfect, just the answers I was looking for! Right now I have one for 1:10 but will change it to a 12:45 or 1pm at the latest. :) Thanks so much!

We made our ressie for Chefs for 12:50, and will have our fingers crossed. We figure if we don't get seated for 20 or even 30 minutes, we should still be fine. (And we'll get there early so so we have a buffer in the other direction, too.)

DD16 is very excited about Remy, and her friend that is coming with us is excited to be able to order in French. ;)

Eek, now I am wondering if I should change my lunch ressie on the same grounds. I have a 12:20 reservation and had read that Remy makes rounds at 12:30, was planning to get there a little early for our ADR. What do you think?

I changed ours to 12:50 as well. :) I figured we'll show up at around 12:30, in hopes to get seated quicker. We're also going in January, so that might help with getting seated quick as it tends to be a bit quieter in WDW during those last weeks of the month.

As long as I'm sitting in time for the 1:40pm rounds, I'll be happy... and my husband will be one happy guy, as Remy is his faaavorite.

I'm also excited as I've heard the lunch there is pretty good (and better than dinner)!

Personally, after reading what others said, I would try to get in earlier. I feel like with only 10 minutes to spare, you're not giving yourself enough time in terms of the restaurant not sitting you immediately. And how much ofa bummer would it be to have just missed him?

I'm not taking chances and went with a 12:50 reservation for Remy making his rounds at 1:40pm. We'll just relax and make our way through lunch at a slower pace than normal to ensure we see our good friend. ;)
