Les Chefs de France or Tappen Edo??

It will be just DH and I. No kids this trip:thumbsup2 Which would you choose?

If you have good Japanese steakhouses where you live, then I would choose Chefs de France. Teppan Edo is good, but it is no different than the other Japanese steakhouses I have been to (both in atmosphere and food options). If you want something more special, and more Disney, I would choose Chefs de France. It is more romantic, the food is good, and the room is pretty with all of the windows.

You'll get :thumbsup2 .for both of them here as you can already see! You really can't go wrong with either of them. IMO, Le Chef de France is wonderful for just two people. The food is really good and it has a more romantic atmosphere. We also love Teppan Edo, but you will be seated with others at a table for eight. We enjoy interacting with people, so that was fun, but if you're looking for something special I'd go with Le Chef

I vote for Chefs....my DD and I just had dinner there Sunday. Originally we had scheduled lunch, however plans change and I called Disney Dining the night before and rearranged our schedules. Dinner was very good! We had a table right along the windows. Yes, it is a bistro, so it tends to be a little loud. But the food was very good. I ordered the beef tenderloin (in a demi glaze reduction)...it came with green beans (with garlic) and au gratin potatoes. The portion was fairly large and tasty. I also had my daughters salad that was served along side her cheese puff appetizer. Very good and fresh!
For dessert - try the Profiteroles (sp?) - Mmmmmmm heaven!

Teppan Edo is fun with a group, but for a party of two I would choose Le Chefs De France

Chefs de France! :)

I love the atmosphere at Chefs de France. Makes me feel like I'm in Paris. Teppan Edo makes me feel like I'm at a chain restaurant near here called The Japanese Steakhouse.

I would choose Teppan Edo. We love it there! We have always had a great time and good food each time we have gone. We do have Hibachi Restaurants at home, but we still enjoy going to Teppan Edo on each trip.

Chefs is ok, but I prefer their lunch over the dinner. I used to like the dinner, but the last two times were just so-so. The lunch though was another story, it has remained good for us.

Chefs. Japanese hibachi is Japanese hibachi, regardless of where you eat it. I am OK with the meal, but find the whole "flaming volcano" and "flip the shrimp" schtick a little too cheesy. Also, if you are seated at the "wrong" table, the evening goes downhill quickly. Chefs has great atmosphere and food, and you don't have to worry about who'll be sharing your table (can you tell we were with an uncomfortable crowd? 4 couples at the table, two of which definitely needed to 'get a room', if you KWIM!).
