I'm trying to decide between Kona & 'Ohana for our upcoming trip.

Here's my other thread -

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2669708

But I thought I needed to start a new thread to ask this particular question.

If we have a 5:30 pm ADR at 'Ohana & check-in around 5-ish, how long on average would our wait to be seated conceivably be?

Also, w/ a 5:30 pm ADR, would we have time to go into the MK for "Wishes" at 9:00 pm?

I'm hesitant to book 'Ohana because I don't want us to feel like we're using a big portion of our day either getting to our ADR, waiting to be seated at our ADR, or eating at our ADR & then not making it to "Wishes".

Basically, here's what I'm currently trying to decide...

After our EPCOT (Future World) Day - dinner at either Kona or 'Ohana - no plans after dinner except going back to resort.

On our last day - dinner at either 'Ohana or Narcoossee's - going back into MK after dinner for "Wishes".

Neither DH nor I want to wait an hour to be seated at 'Ohana. We last ate here in 6/2008. I remember about a 20-30 minute wait. After we ate, we had plenty of time to go to MK, but this was in the summer & "Wishes" was at 10:00 pm. Our upcoming trip is in September. I'm reading some recent reviews of really lengthy waits at 'Ohana.

Would Narcoossee's take less time than 'Ohana?

Thanks again!!

If we have a 5:30 pm ADR at 'Ohana & check-in around 5-ish, how long on average would our wait to be seated conceivably be? We had a 5:30 in June and waited maybe 20 minutes. I'd suggest arriving a little early, but you should be ok since your ADR is early (I expect waits get longer later in the evening.)

Also, w/ a 5:30 pm ADR, would we have time to go into the MK for "Wishes" at 9:00 pm?
I really think you should be fine making it by 9. Even if it takes an hour to be seated, 1.5 hours to eat, and 30 min. to get to MK...you'll still be there by 8:30...and I can't imagine any of it taking that long. I know we had plenty of time after dinner to go to MK and ride rides, etc. before leaving (and we left early with our 2 year old.)

We've waited the longest for a table at Ohana's but we eat later in the evening. We have also waited a long time in the mornings there.

That being said... I still would expect you will have time to see Wishes. :) Then again ~ I'd book closer to Wishes and watch from my table at Ohana's! So Pretty!

It all depends on how things are going there. We've been seated early at 'Ohanas and also 45 minutes after our reservation time. Same goes for almost all Disney restaurants. The only one that has been consistently on time for us is Cinderella's Royal Table.

It obviously can depend..but, for our last two 'Ohana ADR's, which one was for 5:00 PM and the other for 5:30 PM we did not have to wait too long. For the 5PM, we waited for about 10 minutes if that. For the 5:30 one, we waited about 15 minutes. That was after we checked in.

In September, we had a 5:25 ADR. We arrived around 5:15 and were seated pretty much on time around 5:30ish. We were at MK around 7:15 pm, in time to line up for MSEP.

Thank you all!! This has really helped me!

At this moment & time (things can change tomorrow or even in the next hour), I think I'm going to leave 'Ohana for our last night. It's tradition!!

I think I may try to get an ADR for 5:15 pm though instead of 5:30 pm.
