Length of stay tickets

Hopefully someone can help me! We are staying at the CR from sun.Dec.19 ( check in) to sun. Dec. 26 ( check out) Can I buy the 6 day stars and stripes passes? We would only use them 6 days. We will just wake up and leave on the 26th. Or do I have to buy 7 day passes? i'm a little confused about all this.

My Dh won a trip there last time we went and they were Length of stay passes. It can only be sold as part of a package that is automatically priced based on when you are there. It probably will include that day you depart at 7 in the morning.

When I've purchased length of stay passes, they have given me the option of either including the last day or not.

Since I'm not military, I'm not "sure" what the Stars & Stripes passes are. If they are like a regular Park Hopper, you could probably buy them, but if they no longer have the "military" desk at the CR, you'll need to travel over to Shades of Green to purchase them. I drove some retired military folks over to SOG to purchase Park Hoppers at the military price when they stayed with us at OKW. I'm assuming you've booked "room only" and not a package that includes park tickets.

If the Stars & Stripes passes are like a UHP (Length of Stay) pass, I don't think that is available at CR.

I was planning on buying them here at Maxwell AFB, before we get there. I just don't want to have to pay for a day I'm not going to use.

Well, I'm assuming that your CR ressie is "room only" and not part of a pkg, and the Stars & Stripes passes you're talking about are the equivalent of a regular Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus.

In that case, it wouldn't matter. Your pass could be for any number of days that you'd like.

If you booked this through some sort of "Military" travel office, and it is part of a package type thing with included tickets, it really would depend on the rules governing the package.

It is my understanding the the Stars stripes tickets, military priced UPH, are only available at SOG and depending on who is selling it to you they will allow you drop off either the first day or the last as a travel day. If you buy them on base then those are regular park hoppers and those days do not expire and you can choose how many days you purchase.

Oh. I didn't know I couldn't get them on base. Yes, I have room only at CR, and stars and stripes are like UHP at a discount for military. I will have to contact Shades of Green i guess. Is SOG hard to get to?

Hi! We are Army, you don't have to be staying at Shades of Green for the Stars and Stripes pass, just at a Disney Resort that would qualify for UPH. Since you're staying at the Contemporary you will be fine buying them at SOG. You will be able to drop the first and last days of your stay if you purchase the Stars and Stripes passes after 4pm on your first day. This way, they don't make you buy them for your arrival day, becasue by then it's late, so I guess they figure you don't need them, and they will allow you to drop the last day so you can get a 6 day one if you would like. We have done this quite a few times so it shouldn't be a problem! Hope that helps! Have a great trip! MB

Can't you buy 6day PHplusses at your base? We have them here at the naval base medical center. I am not sure how different this is from the Stars and Stripes. Anyone know? Not sure of the cost compared to the UPH at Military discount as we always get our passes at the base. If they aren't that different that would save you the hassle of drop/add day at the resort and having to get over to SOG. Not sure if you will have a car. I would at least see if they have the 6day hopper at your base!

Happy planning. I know for me I like to have them in hand. Of course, you might have to do this before the end of the year due to MYW. I assume that the base will have still be able to sell past the first just not get new passes from Disney. We wil have to check with our MWR contact. I am trying to find out what Disney will be doing for the military without the hoppers being available in the future. We might have to always go over to SOG in the future to get the new MYW tickets! UGH!

we want to be able to go to Disney Quest and won't go to the water parks. So I don't want the plus part and need the DQ part, leading me to the UPH. But yes I thought of that.

Isn't a military UPH significantly more $$ than a military PHP? If you are going to DQ every day, a UPH would make sense. IF you are only going there once, you may want to consider separate admission.

Discount DQ tickets at Maple Leaf are $22.95 ($19 child).

We save $67 buying the stars and stripes. 7 days php $1493, vs. $1426 for the stars and stripes. And includes DQ. Thats why . I know only $67 but it is 4 saved and includes where my son is dying to go. But if you know of something cheaper, I'm in!!!
