Can someone tell me how the
length of stay strollers work?
I have never heard of it. It was
in an article about WDW in the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution today.
They said it saves time in the morning
when you're getting the strollers...
Can someone explain this to me.
TIA.

Mouseplanet.com actually explains this:
Strollers

Disney rents strollers at $8 per day for a single, $15 per day for a double. If you return the stroller at the end of the day, they will rebate $1.

Disney offers a discount of 10% (or more) for multi-day stroller rentals. A multi-day rental will also save you time, because you'll be given a receipt that allows you to go up to the cast member dispensing the strollers, have them stamp your receipt, get your stroller and you’re off! No more waiting in the long cashier line to pay for a daily rental. In addition, they will refund any unused days. Thanks to Julie S and Lisa C for additional info.

Hold on to your receipt! If you misplace your stroller, present the receipt and they'll replace it without charge. Also, the fee covers rental for the whole day, even if you "hop" between parks on the same day. So if you start the day at one park and then move on to another park later, keep your receipt from the first park and present it at the stroller rental. They'll issue you a stroller at the second park without additional charge.

Bringing your own stroller will, of course, save you quite a bit of money. However, this may be counterbalanced by the hassles of getting it to Walt Disney World and then loading it on and off buses, monorails and boats (if you use Disney transportation) or in and out of a car trunk (if you'll have a car at Disney).

If you want to avoid the hassle of transporting a stroller on a plane, you might consider buying a cheap one upon arrival and giving it to another lucky family when you leave.

I'll try to make it shorter for you. If you're renting just for one day, you wait in a line at the cashier, pay, etc., and then go to another area or line, present your ticket, and get your stroller. When you buy say a week at a time, you get all your tickets for the week. Since you already have tickets, you skip the first line and just go right to the second line.

One word of caution, however. These are paper tickets, nothing is personalized or computerized. I imagine on Day 1 if you lose your tickets you will have to repay for the entire length of stay if you will want a stroller all week. I never asked, but I assume this would be the case. If a dishonest person pretended to lose their week's worth of tickets, and were given free replacements, what would stop them from selling the original tickets they claimed to lose? Anyway, that was my logic for being paranoid about not losing those tickets. For a double stroller, I paid $95.20 for 7 days, with the discount. Starting on Day 1, it was like I had a $100 bill in my pocket. That kind of ruined my feel for the fantasy of vacationland and going nearly cashless for a week. I left my wallet in the room safe, carried about $20 in cash and paid for everything with my room key.

all4fun-thanks for posting that. I was very interested in the "they will refund any unused days." I've got a day left over from my Oct 04 trip that I was hoping to use on my next trip. I've got the extra day because I was planning on using a stroller at MNSSHP and we didn't do parks that day. When we got to the party I found out they were free.

I found the multi day rental very convenient. I have 3 small children and we already had a stroller for the youngest. It was worth the money to rent a stroller in the parks for the older 2 rather than struggle with 2 strollers on the buses. The parks strollers are also so easy to push. I too worried a bit about loosing the ticket but I just kept it with our park tickets which while replaceable I didn't want loose either.

Is the length of stay available for different numbers of days, or just 7 days? We wil be in the parks for 5 or 6 days.

Thanks!

I'm thinking about bringing a stroller for my youngest (21months) and renting one for my 3 1/2 year old. I would prefer two seperate strollers in case some of our party splits up for certain activities. I'm concerned about the strollers running out, we are traveling at Christmas? Any thoughts?

May be a silly question...we're staying at wdw for 8 days, but i only want a stroller for 3 days...when i go to rent can i pre-pay for the three days? and does it have to be a consecutive three days?

You prepay for the number of days you want-not really a length of stay. Don't know if there is a minimum. The days don't need to be consecutive. I'm hoping to use a day I have left over from last year but can't confirm if that works til October.
