I have friends using my points in May, without me. Can they get 10% off length of stay passes, or is my membership card required for that? Do they have access to other discounts too? I know this is a touchy subject for some, but I can't remember what they can access without me.

The membership card is yours and for your use. I doubt any discounts would be allowed for anyone else on your card. Is this another question on how to beat the system-I have seen many on the site over the years?

If they were travelling with me, I would have no compunction about buying their UPHs with my membership card (if allowed), as they are my guests then and there, and especially since I would be doing the paying part. Guests who are staying on my points but not with us (and whose tix I am not buying), I would advise to get some PHs or PHPs ahead of time and get the advance purchase discount.

As a matter of fact, your guests get just about all the perks that you do. They are completely and perfectly and legitimately entitled to use that perk.

Unless Dean comes up with a line from the POS that specifically disallows the pass discount, I believe all discounts are available to 'guests' of members but none are supposed to go to renters, in practice, renters get a card that says 'member' and there are only a few specific perks that actually require your membership card and not just a resort ID that says 'member'.

Most perks are available to guests and the POS says so specifically. The ones that aren't are the UMP and cash room discount. In both cases, the member is supposed to be in the room to get the discount. DVC has not enforced this either but it is the rule.

Discounted Unlimited Park Hopper Ticket may not be purchased in advance or by: (i) DVC Members and/or their registered Guests who are staying at a WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort Hotel through The Disney Collection Program; (ii) DVC Members and/or their Guests, accompanying or otherwise, on a cash stay at any WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort Hotel, the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, or DISNEYLAND ® Paris Resort Hotels; (iii) non-DVC Members renting at a Disney Vacation Club Resort; (iv) DVC Members not registered at Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge or Disney’s Beach Club Villas during the time of their request; (v) Guests staying at the Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge or Disney’s Beach Club Villas on an external exchange through Buena Vista Trading Company or Interval International ®; or (vi) Guests staying on a Vacation Points reservation when the DVC Member is not staying in the vacation home with the Guest(s).

Thank you for the info, I will let them know.
