We will be going next year and I like the advantages of the length of stay pass. We won't arrive until friday evening and so won't be in the parks that day. Can I ask to have my length of stay pass start on that Saturday?

I believe you are able to have either the day of arrival or departure taken off.

If you read the post here you will find that most people do not consider the LOS passes to be the best deal. It is usually cheaper to get room only ressies and then buy hopper passes or an Annual pass depending on the number of days you will be at WDW in a twelve month period. (8 days or more and the AP is the better deal)

I have heard that with the new UMP, which replaced LOS, that you couldn't take the first or last day off.

We went this past July and were able to take the 1st day off (didn't check in until after midnight)... They also offered to take the last off if we wanted. Things may have changed though?!?!?

We are arriving at 10:34 PM on May 6th. We have length of stay passes starting the 7th, because we are staying off-site near the airport on the night of the 6th. Thought is would accomplish several things, one save us money on the first nights room rate, two we will not have any wasted time on our Length of Stay Pass, and it would allow us to get some rest faster because we will be closer to airport. We will be getting a towncar to take us to the Cont. early on the 7th, check our bags, and start enjoying the parks. We will check into our room after 3:00, we were planning on a rest in the afternoon anyway.
