Length of stay for drink mugs

If you're doing a split stay, is "length of stay" just for the first resort or is it for the entire stay at both resorts?

Also, would it make a difference if I only purchase the dining plan at the first resort at which we stay? Would we still be able to use it at the second one? If I didn't buy the dining plan at all but just purchased the mug, would that make a difference?

Are there drink stations anywhere at Swan/Dolphin?

Yes, 14 days is the standard activation on LOS mugs....we did a split stay a couple years ago and I made sure to ask before purchasing if it would be valid at second resort if I bought at first
