Length of stay counts!!!

Has any one ever experienced this deliema? On Disneys website and when calling CRO I cannot get 3 nights at the All Stars(Dec 2-5). It shows no availability. BUT when I extend my stay by one night either before(Dec1) or after(Dec 6) it shows availability! What gives??? Has anyone experienced this and what would be your advise for getting the reservation I need.

PS: Yes this is for 2004(next week). And I'd like to take this moment to officially curse my mickey monitor #@x##@!!. The advertisements for the MVMCP and Osborne Lights(a missed event from our trip last year) caused me(it was CLEARLY an involentary reaction on my part) to go ahead and make last minute reservations so that I may partake in these wonderful activities!!!! Now I cannot find room at the Inn!!! Do they WANT me to stay off site??? It's been soooo long since I have I would't even know where to begin to research my choices!!!

Any (non-confrontational) advise would be greatly appreciated!!

Did you try PC? I think next weekend is when they have having the Cheerleaders at All-Stars. Maybe thats why its filled up

Why not book for the number of nights that you need to book just to get the res and then call and drop the extra night you do not want? If you're able to book it with the extra day, you can surely drop the unwanted night that is keeping you from making a res presently. Just a thought anyway. . .

I have done this several times on the WDW website. If the reservation comes up for the nights I need by booking extra nights, then I'll book those extra nights, then call back a day or two later (Use the phone # on your web confirmation sheet, not the regular phone #) and cancel the extra nights.

I'm sure they do this because it is harder to fill a room for one night than it is for 3 or more nights, but oh well!

Yes i did try PC and it was not available.
Tess and CLkelley ~ That is what I was leaning towards doing but I wanted to make sure I would not face any penalty. Thanks for the reassurance!
