Can I buy tickets to the parks that are for more days than our length of stay?

that is, we'll be staying at WDW for 7 days, but i want to buy a 10 day ticket.
Can i do that even though we're only staying for 7 days?

Yes.

Even if you book a package, the number of days on your park ticket don't need to match the number of nights you reserved at your resort. If you are staying 7 nights, you can buy a 1-day ticket or a 10-day ticket or anything in between.

However your tickets are only good for 14 days from the date of first use. In order to extend that, you must purchase the no-expire option for the duration of the entire ticket (not just what's left) and purchase that option within 14 days of first use.
