Legoland Touring Plan

I'm heading to Legoland Orlando on Monday, December 21 or the next day. I'm going with my wife and 8-year old daughter and 5-year old son. We plan to spend the full day there. Despite searching the Web I can't find good advice to help plan the visit. Please share a touring plan, best rides, etc. Thank you!

I'm not sure what the crowds will be like but we went the third week in October and were able to ride every ride and many rides more than once. I don't think Legoland is a park that needs a touring plan. Have fun! It's much more laid back than Disney.

We've only ever been during the off-season, when everything is a walk-on. I've noticed some people mention crowds when they went, so I'd plan for it. The best rides is going to depend on what your child likes. Look through the rides and get familiar with height restrictions and ask what your kids would like. Also, keep in mind that Driving School takes a looooong time for the 8 year old so I'd split up if that's on her list. The driving school for the 4-6 year olds is much more simple and doesn't take that long. One tip is to bring some mini-figures to trade.

I was there on Fourth of July and we hardly noticed crowds until the evening when locals started pouring in for fireworks. When you get there, head to the back of the park and work your way to the front through the day. Do the driving and boating schools early if you can. Most of the holiday stuff is near the front of the park and attracts a crowd, but especially the tree looks even better at night.

Eat a big breakfast before going in and plan on snacking if you get hungry. The park food is not worth it. It heresies, it's a great, laid back park. We love it!

If you plan to trade minifigures, each one needs a hat or hair, head, torso and legs. We forgot the hat/hair and bought some at the park.
