Has anyone been to Legoland or any of the other parks lately? We're going next week and don't know where to start and what SHOULD be seen first or at all. In what order. We're going with 4 kids ages 8, 6, 5, and 2. I'm not sure on height restrictions but I'll check on those on the web. I'm mainly looking for suggestions on what to do first and what we really shouldn't miss, places to eat, places not to eat or go near. But any info. would help:) TIA,
Pippi

We just came back and did all three. At the zoo, I would definitely go to the Panda exhibit first. We got to the zoo when it opened and went right there. We were practically by ourselves for 15 minutes. Just an hour later there was a huge line. Also, the baby panda is only out from 9-11. After that we went to see the polar bear and then took the skyfari at the back of the park and did everything else. When we got to the front the skyfari line was at least a half an hour long.
Seaworld-we started by feeding the dolphins and then went to pet the stingrays. After that we started to do the shows. If anyone is brave enough to do Journey to Atlantis I would go there early. We have three kids, 11, 7 and 5. We all did the raft ride and we did it while the first Believe show was going on. We rode it twice in a row and then the show got out. The line was ridiculous. I will say you get soaked on that one, we even had ponchos, but I would bring an extra set of clothes.
Legoland was our hardest park because there was so much to do and it was really crowded. We ended up upgrading the tickets and came back the second day. With kids your kids ages I would go left first back to where the volvo cars are and do that. If some of the kids could do the coasters that would be my second spot. There is also a new Egyptian area that apparently opened the week before we got there. The longest line for a ride was there. I don't remember the specific name of the ride, but it is along the lines of the Buzz lightyear ride where you shoot laser guns and score points. The line was almost 45 minutes so I would get to that early too. You might not have as much of a crowd as we did since it was spring break. All the parks are great--just like disney, get there as early as you can. We got to all 3 before they opened and that is definitely the way to do it :). If you have any other questions feel free to PM me, Ilisa

We were in SoCal April 1-12 and did all three parks along with Disney, CA and Universal. We did Legoland on Thursday 3rd, not crowded & was a quiet relaxing day for us after 2 days walking nonstop at Disneyland. Just the break we needed. We went down on the Amtrak and loved the ride.
Saturday went to Seaworld, did lunch with Shamu and everything there except the water ride as we had no extra clothes and was on bus tour. My 8 & 9 yr love Journey to Atlantis. I did it the last time we were there and it is fun.
Tuesday the 8th we had bus tour to Zoo. Were there from 12:00 to 5:00 and were able to see everything no problem. Saw the baby panda in the afternoon so it is not only out in the morning.
I would recommend all three parks.

We were there last week. We did not really hit any crowds at all. The only thing we really waited in line for was the Volvo driving thing, and that was worth it. If you went there first it wouldn't be a problem...

As for the zoo, plan on a LOT of walking. What I didn't expect was the HILLS, there are a lot of inclines/declines...I didn't have the right shoes for that day! Zoo was awesome though. I agree, see the Pandas first. Also, at the Wild Animal Park (if you are planning to go) there was a 3HOUOR old giraffe we saw, just born that morning!

SeaWorld was fun, we mainly built our time around the shows. My kids did the Atlantis Ride & loved it, no wait at all and that was around 2 pm...
Have fun & good luck!
