What would be the best airport to land at if we wanted to go to Legoland after landing? I am having to change my plans for an August trip and can land about 9:30 am. How long will it take to get to Legoland as well?

Palomar airport is a regional airport serviced by United (CLD is the airport code). Palomar airport is in Carlsbad, CA. It's about a mile from Legoland. That's the absolute closest.
San Diego Airport (SAN) is within @ 45 min and I believe the JohnWayne Airport is also about the same distance, or just a little further. It's probably an easier airport to navigate since it's smaller than SAN. Not sure of the airport initials. Maybe someone in orange county can give you the specifics between John WAyne and Long Beach. Those two always confuse me. :)

I agree with Califgirl. Palomar is the closest; San Diego has train about 2 miles from the airport that will get you up to Legoland.
