Ok, I am trying to narrow down dates....here's our options and general plan.
If we fly on a Wed (mid July), we would do Thurs and Friday at Legoland, do the beach on Saturday. (Staying at hotel closer to Legoland for first 3 nights). Then move hotel to DL area and spend Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed at Disneyland. Fly home Thurs am.

OR----- Fly on a Thursday, Spend Fri, Sat at Legoland, Sunday beach day, and then monday, tues, wed, thurs at Disneyland.

SO, if we have to spend a weekend day at either Legoland or DLR, which way should we do it? We have never been to legoland and planning two days because of the new water park, kids will be DD5 and DS7. Have been to DLR a couple times, but never in the summer.

:confused3

Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, by the way, trying to book this morning...prices dropped $200 on expedia from last night! I dont' want to miss it!! No pressure though:laughing:

Uhm.....I would probably go with the first option. My friends have done DL before, and this year added a day at LL to their trip. But they did went there on the last day of their vacation, which was a Saturday. I know it fell a bit short for them, and I'm sure a lot of that was because of the crowds. I say do LL during the week, since it will be your first time there, so the crowds will be as small as possible. Plus I seem to recall reading that DL is less crowded on Sunday (especially early Sunday morning) than on Saturday. And even if Sunday at DL is packed, you know that you have the next 3 days to spend there.....so there shouldn't be too much pressure to hit all the rides that day.

Good luck planning. If you do make it to the LL water park, would you mind posting about it here when you get back? We really want to try and go in August, if people are enjoying it. Have a great trip!

Thanks so much for the advice!! I will absolutely post about the LL water park upon our return! We will be there July 15/16th if I stick to plan A.

Hi,

I was just there 2+ weeks ago. I also wished I had had two days in Legoland.

I would go for the first option, assuming Sunday will have longer hours and probably fireworks (at least during Feb no fireworks on weekdays). And Sunday was my favorite day at DL, we tried to avoid weekends, but it was nice having the longer hours, specially when DL was so pretty after dark, and it was a ghosttown after 7-8 the sunday I went, but then that might just be the time of the year. Regardless, I really enjoyed the park after dark.

We ended up going to Legoland on Saturday, then Disneyland from Sunday on. The crowds at LL pretty light

BTW, go and book your trip now. That really drove me crazy with expedia our price kept changing while I thought about things, so nervewracking.
