Legoland - groupon and lines

We were at Legoland yesterday. It was the first day the water park was open for the season and a big day for people using the recent groupon that included admission to the water park.

On opening, the line to get in moved very very slowly because Legoland was scanning groupons in the line to get in, and it seemed to be a slow process. They weren't directing groupon holders to the vouchers ticket window.

So if you are going to Legoland anytime soon, build in some extra time for the line. To give you an idea of the impact of the wait on Thursday we went to Hollywood Studios. By half an hour after opening, we were riding TSMM. Half an hour after opening at Legoland we weren't even at driving school even though we were the 4th or 5th family in our line. (And we walk fast.)

I'm going on a Monday in April, so I hope this will be a non-issue for my visit.

Off topic, what time did you arrive at HS?

We were in line at HS by 8:15 for a 9:00 open. We were the second family in our line at opening.

OT for those who drove from WDW, any suggestions as to how long to allow for the drive to hit rope drop @ Legoland?
