Has anyone been to Legoland Florida on a weekend in December? I am trying to decide between a Sunday and Monday visit and am wondering how terrible the crowds will be. I am assuming it will be busier than a Monday in December when the special Christmas events aren't happening, but am trying to figure out if the tree lighting and Lego Santa meet-and-greet are worth the extra crowds and how much more crowded it is likely to be. We are going in early December, if it makes a difference.

Legoland is never that crowded. We’ve been on Fourth of July multiple times and have been to Brick or Treat and Holiday Bricktacular. You’re expecting Disney crowds, and that’s never going to happen at Legoland.

We enjoy the holiday events. I find them worth it if only because the park is open later, and they have a fireworks show to close out he night. But the other stuff is a lot of fun, too. My only suggestion if you’re worried about crowds is to pay the upgrade for up close parking. After the fireworks, the parking lot can be awful. From the preferred parking, they let you escape through an employee exit and avoid the mess. Well worth the $5 extra.

Thank you! We have a local theme park we go to that is ridiculously crowded for its holiday events and I was afraid Legoland might be like that. Then again, my husband doesn't even like the crowd level difference between our zoo and children's museum on a weekend as opposed to a week day.It sounds like either day will work well. I just have to figure out whether we want the fireworks and special shows enough to rearrange our schedule. My husband and kid are Lego fanatics, so they are super excited about Legoland. Do you know, by chance, do they leave the holiday decorations and hidden santas up during the week, even if they don't have the special shows and fireworks and Lego Santa around?

The decorations like the giant tree are made of LEGO, so super heavy and not easily moved. They stay up for the season.

It’s possible that my crowd standards are different than those of your husband. Crowds don’t bother me that much as long as it means there’s something great involved. I compare LEGOLAND to WDW, and I’m always impressed by how comparatively uncrowded the park is. But crowds are higher at the events than in a regular weekday. A LEGOLAND annual pass is like $100, so most locals have them and come for the special evenings. We aren’t locals but think the special events are worth the moderate crowd increase (my little guy lives fireworks).

Thank you! This helps a lot.
