Hey Guys and Gals!

Sorry if this has already been answered - but I'm confused (again lol).

I was reading somewhere that you can/need to book your seats for the Legend of the Lion King Show. I was wondering, how/where/when do you do this?? Me and my friend really want to see this show when we go next month and I'm not quite sure how to go about it all.....

Also, does anyone know where the best seats to view this would be? If we were to get a seat at the front, for example, would we be able to see clearly or would we be breaking our necks looking up at the stage?

Thanks all!!!!

The Lion King show at DLRP is brilliant!

You don't have to "book" tickets as such, they are free, but you may have to go to a collection point to get them about half an hour before the show starts. When we were there in Feb, the collection point was round the corner of the Videopolis (where the show takes place) near the train station at Discoveryland. You tell them you want the English language show (as they do it in other languages throughout the day) and you'll get however many tickets as you have park tickets for. We collected our tickets for the show at 11am for the 11.30 show. All the seats give really good viewing, you won't be craning your neck if you're seated at the front.

You can't, as far as I'm aware, book a particular seat, so you may choose to rush into the building to get as close as poss :lmao: . We didn't, we took our time, and still got a great view of the show.

If you don't want to collect tickets, you can eat at the Videopolis (fast food counter service). Some of the seats for the restaurant are at the back of the viewing area for Lion King.

hi - no you dont need to book lion king show - what they do is release a certain amount of seats in the main theatre that you can collect if ur early enough on that day of the performance u want to c.
the show is of course free and has severeal shows a day in english and french.
if you dont manage to get a seat in the main theatre, just do what EVERYBODY does anyway and head into the Hyperion and grab a table up there lol - its the same building but further back lol has the same views and everything! just not "officially" in the theatre!! lol if i can find my pics i will post and show u wat i mean!! lol

Thank you both so much!!!!
Did you have to queue long to get the tickets? I can imagine it to be quite the scramble when you get into the Theatre part with everyone rushing for their seats. So I take it there's no chance of asking for a specific seat then - just get a ticket and choose from any of the remaining?

Thanks again!!!!

There was info on the park map telling you what time tthe shows were and what time to go to collect tickets from near the station in Discoveryland.

However Im sure Ive read somewhere that its no longer necessary to collect tickets in advance- you just go to the theatre just before the showing and queue up there instead.

Check the park map for info on times of English language performances

Its a fantastic show

We caught this show last week, it was absolutely amazing, we loved it. We didn't queue anywhere at all, or get tickets from anywhere, we wanted to see it so just turned up at the after lunch showing which was in English, they were just opening the doors so we wandered in, we were in the 3rd row on the left hand side and had a brilliant view of the stage.
I really can't recommend it highly enough! We loved it so much that we intend on making a trip to London at some point to catch it in the West End.

I have to say, thats a much better way to go, just turning up to go in.

Great stuff!

Thank you all so much!!!

In the summer the practice of having to get tickets for the show stopped.
We queued up about 40 minutes before the show started while DS and DD went on Star Tours with mum.
Got good seats (3 rows from the front) inside Videopolis :)

Thank you so much for the link for youtube:thumbsup2 I uploaded parts of it too but compared to that version, mine is rubbish:rotfl:

If anyone is bored my username is tinkerbellinparis..there is a few more DLP moments on there too:)

You're welcome Ashleigh!! When I found that clip I was sitting watching it in awe!! It looks amazing!!

As for what happened to you in WDW. I think I would have cried if that happened to me!!!! Still, watching it in DLP will hopefully make up for it for you!!!

I can now see myself at 8am running to Videopolis standing outside with my mouth wide open staring at the closed doors lol

Hi again

When we went in Jan(3 times I think) I didn't bother with tickets....then again it was pretty quiet:confused3 Think we got tickets the 1st time but only cause the bloke asked us if we wanted to see it.

I LOVED IT!!:rotfl:

Firstly, Hi everyone, im new to these boards and will be on here almost everyday before me and my wife go to Disneyland on Oct 7th!! Cant wait!

With reference to the Lion King show: Last time we went, we were unable to get tickets for it and we are making a point of going to see it this year! Where abouts do you get the tickets from as I would really like to go and see it?

Thanks

Hi ynwa19, the general consensus seems to be that you no longer need tickets to see the show, which is a great move on DLRP's part, I know what you mean, although we've since seen it twice, the first time I queued for tickets they ran out before I got to the front.

Re: seating - Front row is good especially near the aisles, as the dancers come down from the stage at the end, see my tag. :)
