How scary? I know that is relative - but your experience
As scary as Haunted Mansion, more scary?

How long of a wait to get in?

Anyone take children in? What ages and what were their reactions?

Thanking you in advance

I would not waste your time on this. You stand in a room and never move along and see a little show. I didn't find it scary, I am not sure if a young child would. I waited 30 minutes and I will never get that time back again. If there is no wait, you can certainly check it out. I wouldn't say it was all that scary but it is dark.

I checked it out only because I'd never seen it. I don't regret doing it, but it's not something I'd stand in line for again. If there's no line at all it might be something worth doing if you're in between FP times or something. I really wouldn't call it scary, there were quite a few kids when I went and they were fine.

I just watched a YouTube video of it this morning as I was working on my HS touring plan. I am on the fence as to whether my kids would be frightened by it (they are kind of wimpy LOL). I have to cut something, so this is probably going to be it.

Where in HS is this? Did it used to be something else? Thanks.

This attraction isn't too scary, although not necessarily worth a big wait. It's a bit long, and after long days on your feet, there is no place to sit inside...you just stand and watch the show. That was probably the biggest downside to our kids - they wanted to sit & enjoy & get off their feet - not stand for 20 min. or so.

If they are huge Jack Sparrow fans, they may love it. If not, they won't be missing much.

I don't remember it being particularly scary. I can't remember it too clearly but I think it had some projection skeletons and flashing lights but nothing really big.

For the line when I went last year we tried to do this three times. The first time there was a fairly long wait (more than a groups worth in front of us so we would have had to wait for two showings, the one that was in the attraction and the next group, before we would be able to get in). We bailed on that line, came back later and the line was similarly long. At the end of the day we were killing time before Fantasmic and decided to look at the line again. Line was short enough so that we would get in with the next group. At the end my friend and I agreed that it was neat but we were glad we didn't wait in the previous lines for it because it wouldn't have been worth it.

It is tucked away between TSMM nd One Man's Dream. It used to be e Narnia show. I have never seen the Jack Sparrow version, but the Narnia version was underwhelming. It's OK if there is no wait for it.

I think it used to be the Narnia walk-through attraction.

Yes, I remember the Narnia thing, not worth a wait but it was ok to walk through. Sort of a space filler I guess. Thanks. :goodvibes

Really...don't waste your time! We did it last year because there was absolutely no line and we knew nothing about it. Went in, stood around for a bit, listened, saw the stuff projected on the walls. Okay, now what? We thought we were only in the pre-show!!!!! We were shocked when the door opened......to the outside! We all looked at one another and said, "Is that it? Did we miss something?"

15 minutes of my life I'll never get back....

I agree with everyone else here, it was the worst "attraction" I've ever attended. The narrator talks down to you, the "plot" is non-existence... we were waiting for the narration to be done so the fun could begin and then it was over...No fun to be had.

The Jack Sparrow hologram is phenomenal...but that aside, it's a complete waste of time. If you're not there for their first show, you'll be waiting in a very long line just to be disappointed.

See, I thought the effects made it worth it. Of course, Universal has been doing the projection with Christopher Walken on Disaster for years, so it's nothing new, but it is for Disney.

Yes! When I was watching it on YouTube this morning, I was thinking I was seeing the preshow. At some point about 5 mins in the skeleton said something that led me to believe the group was going to move into the theater ---- but nope!

I wouldn't want to stand through the whole thing either.

We were given a return showtime ticket so we could go do something else. Came in. It's a fun little show. Maybe a little bit scary for small children, but mostly it's god some interesting effects and is a short standing show.

we hadn't done it and enjoyed it. Probably wouldn't do it again though.

Thank you folks. Sounds like if it hot/cold outside, or starting to rain, and there is no line, then go for it.

Been there done that and don't need to do it again. We were herded into a room the size of my living room to watch blinking lights and feel some wind in my face. Considering all there is to do WDW this should be low on your list of things to do. Jump in if it's raining, but that's about it.:cool1:
