Leftover cake

so, where exactly does the leftover cake go?

a local pig farm?

(or just the nearest trash pail?)

I think this is yet another example or it depends on who you talk to. At my planning session, I asked my coordinator about letting the guests take the extra cake home in customized cake bags. Not only did she tell me that it was ok, but gave me a suggestion of something better than cake bags. (apparently it can get rather messy and difficult to put cake in all the bags. I asked about the rule of not taking anything leftover, and she said that the cake was the one exception. Since, couples pay so much for the cake they will allow them to take it back with them. BTW I am having my reception in Epcot.

we had loads of cake left, but disney boxed it up for us. We had some more and then shared with guys on reception.

we got all our leftover cake too, and since it was just me and my DH and we had no guests with us, we had a ton left over!!! it had never occured to me that it would be boxed up for us and we would get to take it, i just assumed we would do the traditional cut the cake thing and then after that i didn't give it a second thought. then all of a sudden we're lugging 2 big boxes back to the hotel. we had them put them in their fridge for us, but later we brought them to our room. we got a couple "to go" containers from the food court area and boxed up a little of it to put in the fridge in our room, we ate a little (ahem) between our ceremony and going to dinner and then unfortunately had to throw it all out. It was quite good though!! :goodvibes
