It looks as though we are going to have a possible 30 meals left over on our DDP when we leave here on Sunday which is such a shame!!!

Just wondered if there is anything we can do with them like passing some of them on maybe???
I'm guessing this isn't possible but it seems such a waste :guilty:

How did you manage to have so many meals left over?? are these QS or TS!
you used to be able to trade them in for snacks but they dont allow it anymore which is pretty stupid!

I know! They are TS & QS meals. I'm not quite sure how we have got all those left either?
I haven't been having breakfasts and sometimes DS & DH have skipped too. Also we went out to SW one of the days but even so that seems a lot left over doesn't it!

It is a lot! Back in the day when vouchers were used rather than KTTW credits we had a bunch passed to us by an American family, which was nice. Nowadays I guess you could buy someone's meal if you were prepared to queue ;) but I doubt they'd let you.

Just out of interest, how do you find out how many credits you have left?

Yeah, I suggested that we might just try to find out which families in the restaurant are not already on the DDP then see if we can buy their meal? At least we'd feel theyve not been totally wasted.

To check the remainder you just check the receipt and it has the total amount left. x

Haha nice and simple then! We may be in the same boat as you, well be doing 3 days at Universal and IoA plus one at SW, which means a bunch of extra credits. At least I can fill the suitcase with snacks I guess!

Where are you staying?

can you not have signature meals for your last few days to use some up? it might be a bit hard to get an adr but im sure youd get something

This is what we found with the QS DDP we had so many meal credits left at the end because it is just too much food!

We tried and tried to exchange them for snacks but to no avail, in the end we used them to have drinks and desserts as snacks on our last few days. Even this was a struggle getting the CM to allow us to order just the drink and a dessert for one meal credit. In some locations we actually had to have the meal as well which we didn't even want so it got binned!! I felt awful just throwing food away :(

Alternatively, order everything on the menu, spread it over the table, photograph it and convince everyone back home that US portion sizes REALLY ARE that huge!!

The food courts will allow you to change your CS for snacks (one of which has to be a beverage). It is easy to have lots left over. We had about 18 CS credits left between 2 of us last year because we shared most of our meals, ate our desserts as snacks etc. Be careful of offering others to buy for them - you get viewed with a bit of suspicion lol. Also if you have sticklers for the rules, they can be a bit funny about the official DDP rules .....

You may be able to get lots of bags of chips and some rice crispie cakes etc which we did with the majority of our leftover CS and we just forfeited the rest. They can only do this in the foodcourts however.

There has been many many people on the boards stating that even in food courts they have now stopped this at the start of this year, They do not allow you to change your qs for any snacks anymore there was a huge thread on it about POP and people having to waste aload of credits :sad2:
Totally gutted as we always used to grab aload of lollys rice crispy treats and bags of candy to bring home now we wont be able to and just know we will have left over credits.

It seems to depend on the foodcourt itself. It is up to the manager to decide so it's the usual Disney "it depends .... " response.

What is consistent is that you cannot do it in the parks, gift shops or places like Goofy's for example, because their computer systems are not programmed to process a CS or TS meal so it can't 'convert' them for you.

Wow 30 meal credits, we sometimes have snack credits left at the end of a trip but never meal credits and we don't eat breakfasts.
Have you done Hoop Dee Doo or one of the other dinner shows? If you could get in tomorrow evening that would use 2 each, great way to use them as it also includes yout tip and alcohol.
What time do you fly Sunday? could you get in for a signature meal for lunch, great way to end the holiday and use some credits.

For CS its just use as many as poss, try buy for someone in the line with you.

When was you last able to do it?

Were at Saratoga Springs. We're trying to use the snack credits now but what a shame about the meals!!

We have got the Royal table tomorrow so thats one but no more.
DH has just had another look and by the time were done it'll actually be about 17 so not the 30 we first thought which makes it a bit better but still a waste :sad1:

I know there's way too much food isn't there! I feel so bad leaving the huge portions all the time! Half would be enough for me but when your on the DDP you feel you have to try and use it all!

:lmao: That would be so much fun! You've half tempted me to do that

Oh really Wayne? I've often thought this hol how I wish alcohol had been included as i like a glass of wine with my meal!
Unfortunately we already have the Royal table booked and then the local restaurant near us (turf bar) but it's not as bad as we first thought as only 17 left by the end but still too many!
Will definitely try to get rid somehow though.

Thanks for all your advice guys ;)

I'd swap turf club for a signature or dinner show if you can and have TS left.

If you have QS left get some sandwiches from earl of sandwich for the airport or on the plane.

Yeah tis a good idea but not sure we've left it a bit late to get in anywhere now? We are also booked in the Royal Table at 2.15pm so am not sure I can take all the nice food coming my way

Great idea about EOS! Didn't think of that and haven't had a chance to try their yummy grub yet.

Thanks x

Personally I'm a huge plan of the Turf Club, but in your circumstances I would definitely punt it for a Signature if you can.

EoS is a great choice for QS too, last year we took a BLT (or something like that) which we split for breakfast instead of having to eat that weird stuff Virgin tried to pass off as food ;) Aside from not being warm still (obviously) it was still delicious - well worth grabbing some of those and I was eating my brownie 3 days later at home.
