Calling all left-handed golfers! My husband is left handed. We are taking two trips to the beach this year, once to Vero and once to HHI. He wants to golf and is wondering if he can rent left-handed golf clubs or needs to purchase a case of fly his own clubs.

He's going to have to call the courses he intends to play. Most courses have some clubs for rent, but the number of sets and quality may vary a lot. If you're playing a top course, they probably have top quality rental clubs including left-handed. If you're playing a smaller course, especially a municipal course, they may not have rentals at all.

JimMIA's suggestion soulds right. I would check with the course directly.

I'm sure he would rather have his own clubs.
Im right handed and do have a "Sunday" hard case that I travel with. It holds enough clubs for me and cost about $125. ...search on line.

BTW...yea still waiting :crazy2:

Thanks for the responses, He is planning on playing at the PGA courses at Port St. Lucie. And to Seneca, STILL waiting, you poor thing. I would be on anti-depressants by now. Well, use the points you have and when they come in, the happiness you will feel will be multiplied.

The other thing is that both of these are golf areas and many times the local golf shops will have demo clubs that can be rented or borrowed for a round so that you can try them out prior to buying them. That may also be an option.

I purchased an all in one travel bag for my clubs a couple of years ago and it more than made up for the cost. These bags are on wheels and act as your golf bag when your travelling. They have room for a full set of clubs and there are pockets on the outside for your shoes and your tees / balls etc. They travel great, take the top off and your ready to play.

A good set of clubs to rent will cost around $50 per round. These bags cost about $150 to $180 dollars. They can be found online or in a large golfing / sporting goods store. The brand that I have is "Porterline". I have no problems recommending this brand. I have taken mine on 6 trips so far and it is still good. There is no problem with the airlines, although the TSA always opens them. There is a combination lock / latch. If you set the combination to 000 then the TSA will be able to get in without breaking the lock.

Have fun.
