So tomorrow thetwo of us are flying into SNA and picking up one of the many shuttles to take us to Carousel Inn. Two days in the park, la de da....WAIT! What about a shuttle back on Saturday??? Can the hotel help me on that, should I reserve one (I know they use the term 'reserve' loosely!). YIKES!

You can ask the hotel if they can arrange a taxi at a fiat rate or you could just ask your shuttle company if you can book your return through them. Or just request a pickup from Supershuttle the night before you need them. You can call or do it online.

Or take a taxi? Not sure what the cost is, but I thought I read that it was reasonable from DLR area to SNA. We usually use Super Shuttle, and it's about 11.00 per person each way. I wouldn't wait till you arrive to schedule a shuttle just in case.

Taxi is about $45-50 back to SNA, which would be my first preference. You can have the hotel call when you do the checkout.

Ya I'd ask your hotel. I had a bad experience with a shuttle on the way in one trip and my hotel actually got us a limo back to the airport for less than we paid for the shuttle :)

In the past we've just asked the front desk (different hotel) and they always have someone that they use, flat rate care service or taxi if you want, a lot of times it's even less that from SNA-DL.

we always pick up a taxi at the airport $45. flat rate,, in fact we arrived this afternoon. and just as we were approaching our hotel when it hit 45 he turned the meter off.. on the way back its approx. $45- $50 again flat rate

for super shuttle I always schedule the pickup the night before on the phone. with a taxi I have the front desk call about 1/2 hour before I'm ready to leave.

I would Prob recommend reservation your return trip on DRE. I love the DRE
But have been on it when its completely full and I'm sure they have to take those with Ressies before those who don't. And the only times I've ever seen it full are in the return trips to the airport. We've been the only ones on sometimes coming from the airport!
