I can't believe I am finally going tomorrow!! I am so excited to just get away from it all. A well needed getaway from taking care of an elderly ill parent.

As I am usually the planning freak for all my Disney trips and usually follow a commando style plan. I have not planned a darn thing. Except a spa day with my best friend who lives in the area. Feeling kinda guilty but I guess being a solo traveler I'm hoping I won't have a problem on getting into some of my favorite restaurants without an ADR.

Anyone have any experience on getting a table for one??

I'm so excited that I will be able to do what I want when I want.....how great is that!!!! I just have to get through 14 hours of work tomorrow and I will be fine.

Any suggestions on what I should do for some casual touring?

I went solo last October and had no problem getting tables anywhere, except the character dining meals. For a single person I still think you can't beat MGM Sci-Fi Drive In-its dark so its not so obvious you're "Billy No-Mates" and you can watch the movies whilst you chow down :woohoo:

I'd recommend the Keys to the Kingdom Tour-you should be able to get on one and who can resist prowling the murky depths of Main Street!

Have a great trip and give Figment a big hug

Thanks for the tips and I'm sure I will have a great time.

I have been wanting to take the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. I hope I will be able to do it last minute.

I haven't thought about sitting alone at a restaurant, I'm not sure how I will feel sitting there by myself, as long as I get to eat at my favorite places without anyone whinning I think I will be ok!

You will have a wonderful time!!! I am traveling with my sister next weekend for a mommy get away weekend. Try something new in each park something you never did before walk into a corner you have never explored or a store. You never know what you can see.

I just got back from my first ever solo trip and can't wait to do it again! :goodvibes

Ate at Sci-Fi for exactly those reasons and thoroughly enjoyed it. :thumbsup2 I hadn't made any ADR's since I wasn't sure how I would feel about doing a sit-down restaurant on my own. The day I went to MGM, I stopped by Guest Relations on my way into the park and they set it up for me on the spot. :cool1: Worked out great!
