Our big night out, drinking around the world in Epcot-WOOHOO!!

We started out at Planet Earth, which I had saved for later in the day with Lonnie. A friend of mine works for Siemens, and he had gotten us passes to the secret special VIP lounge- which I left back at the room, safely locked in the room safe with my passport...AAAAARGGHHHH!!!!!

Sorry Rob- hopefully you'll take pity on my airhead and offer me another pass next time which I will grip in my hand like a vice until it is used!!!!
Anyway...
We loved the redo on Planet Earth! I had forgotten about the photo at the end, so that came as a surprise, we didn't realize until after it was taken. What was REALLY surprising was what they did with the photos- Lonnie and I were HYSTERICAL laughing at it!!!!

I looked like my usual "I'm so happy, I'm at Disney!!"

and Lonnie....well, Lonnie looked like the lobotomy finally TOOK this time, if you know what I'm sayin'! It was the FUNNIEST THING EVAAAARRR!!!!! We got off and sent postcards to everyone we knew, including ourselves, but they haven't come yet- does anyone know when the postcard comes? Well, we could have stood there for hours laughing at ourselves, but we had to get moving!!! We had drinks to consume!!
Here's my very bad redneck photo, hope you can make it out a little-
We headed out to the World Showcase, stopping to admire the leftover flora and fauna from the F&G Festival-
And Lonnie, with the birds, of course,
We will have to make a point to come during F&G next year, I'd love to see what was in all the booths that were now empty!!
Our first stop on the world tour was Mexico, so we headed inside for a boat ride.
I just adore the way it feels inside that pyramid! After we rode El Rio de Tiempo... can you guess who we hooked up with?
It's Rita time!!!
It was also nacho time, we were hungry- love those Jalepenos!
Of course, we had our new friend with us, and Tink needs a drink!
Next was Norway, and we stopped to admire the grass roof, which in 10 million visits, I've never noticed before!

Thank-you, Samantha Brown or girl from the DVC movie, for pointing it out!!!
It began to rain. Just a little. Just enough to close Maelstrom, or at least, I think that's why the doors were closed because there was just a smidge of lightening and thunder involved with the rain. We passed on getting a beer, because, sad as it sounds, we thought if we threw beers of the world in with all the other drinks of the world, we'd never find our way home from the world.
But we traveled on, it was time to enjoy the Joy of Tea. Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present the Green Tea Plum Wine Slush-
Be afraid. Be very afraid. This drink and this drink alone, is why there is no Joy of Tea for me in China in Epcot.
I am sorry if anyone one out there is a fan, and I'm sure there's a green tea slushie fan club out there somewhere drinking these things on a nightly basis, but this, to Lonnie and I, was not good. Tink didn't even want a tiny Tink-sip!!!

But we were in China, and we were so glad to go see the amazing China movie I haven't seen in YEARS and Lonnie had never seen before. While in China, it began to RAIN!!! HARD!!! Like the world was coming to an end!!!

So, we decided to become acquainted with a large group of small men-
Very interesting story, pretty amazing that they all have a different face, and this is why it is believed each one actually represents a different ACTUAL soldier. I think I memorized each and every one of their faces because we were in China a LOOOOOOOONG time. After days (ok, maybe an hour) we went out into the storm and made our way to the rest of the world-
Can I just say, I really wish they would add another country to Epcot already. Spain would be nice. Or something from eastern Europe. Or Russia. Weren't they talking about Russia once? Or Kentucky would be good- you know, for the Mint Juleps. Oops, sorry. But thirsty and hungry world travelers need a new country!!! OK, moving on....
