Leaving on Saturday - should we pack sweatshirts?

I've never been during this time of year. Does it get cool enough for sweatshirts at night? Jeans?

I'd definitely bring at least one pair of jeans and a sweatshirt. Granted I'm cold fairly often, but I wore my hoodie a lot in the mornings because it was still damp out and there was a chill, at night especially if there was a breeze, a lot in restaurants and in some rides because of the AC and in the hotel room. It's hard to say what the weather will be like, even if you look at a forecast because things change so quickly. Like I said, I'd take them, if only for peace of mind and so you don't get stuck spending 60 bucks on a sweatshirt in the parks because you're freezing!

I am not sure about the weather next week but when we went the last week of September in 05, we didn't need long clothes. We just returned Saturday night and we definitely did NOT need long clothes. It was in the 90's during the day and only got to the high to mid 70's as a low at night. In fact, there were people in the pool (even though it was technically closed) at 1 o'clock and 2:30 AM two of the nights of our trip last week.

That being said, I don't think it would hurt anything to bring them. I DID pack a light jacket for my kids just in case, but we never used them until we got off the plane in NJ!

Enjoy your trip.

I just got back last night and it was HOT!!! I was in tank tops and shorts all the time, except Sunday night I wore jeans and a tank top to MK. I wouldn't bring a sweatshirt, but maybe a light nylon jacket for some of the air-conditioned places.

HTH!!! :goodvibes

you could always just buy one there as a souvenier if you need one;) if it was me...i'd bring a light jacket..the restaurants are always cold.

We plan to wear jeans and sweaters on the plane so we have them if we need them but they won't take up space in the luggage.

It's pretty hot here. I walked the dogs last night before bed and it was still very warm at 10 pm. I would bring a sweater for the resturants.

We just got back yesterday and there is no way I would put on jeans. It was hot and of course very humid.

We'll be there Saturday too! My mother lives in FL and she says it's been REALLY hot, even at night. That being said, I'm still packing jackets just in case. I'd hate to have to blow souvenier money on jackets because I didn't pack wisely.

I was there last week and it was HOT and very humid. I brought a jacket with me but never used it.

I'm leaving tomorrow (!!!!!) and I'm only bringing a zip up (thin) because it might be cool in Columbus when I get back. I've been watching the weather pretty religiously (where I work has it's own forecasters) and it's hot and humid (as the others have said) and going to stay that way.

It will rain and cool off some, but when I get up in the morning @ 5:30am, the first thing I do is check the temp outside (and on my iPhone, I can check several cities in a blink) - it's been in the 70's at that time every single morning in Orlando.

I don't get cold easily, and certainly don't want to lug anything around with me all day, so I'm just bringing shorts, capris, tanks and t-shirts. Oh, and my fabulous MNSSHP costume. I'll have the one thin zip up for the plane ride down and back.

YAY!

Why not compromise? Bring a lightweight waterproof jacket, in case it is cold, wet or both, you're covered! Pun intended.:goodvibes

I'm in Atlanta, GA and this week we suddenly have fall temperatures. Very cool at night and in the morning. If the sun is out the days are warm (especially if you are out walking around in it). Obviously I know Florida is further south but our weather changed on a dime and it's now quite chilly at times so be prepared in case that is so down there! (So I would say both jeans and shorts, short sleeves will be okay but bring a lightweight jacket to wear at night and mornings)

We went this time last year. It was HOT, like 85-95 every day. Wore shorts, tanks, and t's all week. It would rain a bit each day but never for very long.

I usually go in October, and have never needed anything more than capri's and short sleeved shirts (No shorts! With my legs, that wouldn't be pretty!!). However, just a long sleeved shirt to layer over a t-shirt might be a good choice. It would be much lighter to lug around once you don't need it anymore.
