Leaving on Dec 6 and driving, I-75 stops of interest

We are driving from knoxville with our 5 year old son and would like some stops that are interesting in GA and FL. Good resturants with a nice playground, perfer indoor, or just any neat or interesting stop to get out and move or see something fun. We are also planning on staying in Ocala, yes I know its close enough to drive the rest of the way, but we want to stop at a nice hotel with an indoor pool and have a nice dinner and relax a little before getting to Disney, any suggestions? And yes I know you can relax at Disney too, but once we get there we are in for the week, plus I think it would be hard for us to get to Disney late on Sat and tell our son we will have to wait until Sun to go to one of the parks.
