I have planned this vacation for so long & it's finally here ! Has anyone ever had that experience after so many hours planning & researching the perfect Disney vacation & the time is finally at hand & you just sit there freaking out :earseek: ! My DH thinks it's funny, all I think about are lists, luggage, things not to forget or do etc. I just want this vacation to be perfect. We're leaving in 6 days & 5 hours. We're splitting our stays 12/6 - 12/10 at the BWI & 12/10 - 12/14 at the Poly. It'll be me, my DH & our DS who'll turn 1 year on 12/13. I know once I get there I'll have an awesome time but the week before is torture. I know I'll have to pack both cold & warm clothes since it's Dec. Any other suggestions to make things easier ? Does anyone know if I can wheel in the stroller on the monorail & boats at BWI or do I have to fold it ? Hopefully the crowds will be low & the weather will be nice. See, there I go again obsessing & worrying !!:yo-yo:

LOL, You sound like me on my 1st trip to Disney with kids. I spent months making the perfect itinerary. I felt like this trip had to be perfect because we were taking 3 of our foster children (Who are now my adopted children).

Our 1st day in MK (me with my perfect itinerary in hand) my DH and our oldest were walking up to the castle and I told them to go to the left, they looked at me and RAN to the right, DH laughted at me and said" Yes you worked hard on that but we are on vacation with kids and we are going to just let it flow"
I threw away the itinerary and we had a perfect vacation with the kids.

As far as packing I am still a little crazy about that. We are going in Jan and I have started putting together my back pack, Pulling the kids summer cloths out and having them try them on to make sure they still fit. The easy thing but also the really hard thing about this trip is we just booked it on the spur of the moment two weeks ago and we are not telling our girls intill we get to the airport so I have to do this all in secret LOL

I guess my point is, Dont stress, plan as little as possible. Let the magic of WDW lead your vacation

No itinerary this time for me.

Relax, Relax, RELAX!!!!!!!!!!! I too was a lunatic before our Nov. vacation and it was our 3rd trip! Looking back I can see that I made everyone, especially myself, very stressed. Keep a box in a convenient place and every time you think of something you need to bring, throw it in. It makes packing so much easier. Remember, you are going to Florida not the ends of the earth- they actually have stores so if you forget something they will have it. Have a great time.;)

I'm leaving on the 5th and I feel the same way!!! I can't believe it's only 5 days away!!!!!!! I've been packing for a week now and have had lists made for months.

I'm not sure about your stroller question. We had our stroller last year and rode on the boats, but we folded it before getting on. Not that we couldn't have just rolled it on, but we folded it just to get it out of the way. I bet it could be rolled on if you wanted though. I know you can on the monorails.

Yes for the boats at BWI.
Yes for the monorail at Poly.

Have a Great Trip.

I remember using a stroller on the monarails and boats. I only folded it on the buses and transports.

Yes! You can wheel your stroller right on to the boats and the monorail! Have a WONDERFUL trip!!!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc

I do that every single trip! It feels like despite months of planning, I'm not ready at all!

On the plus side, I think it helps build up the big adreneline rush! ;)

We just got back and my suggestion would be to take an empty suitcase for Christmas gift purchases. I had to ship several things home. Have a great time.

Thanks everyone for all the input ! I will try to relax & start packing today so next week isn't as hectic. I'll post once I get back with the trip details !! :earsboy:

I've never been in Winter, so I don't know what to expect!!
I won't get back until Christmas Eve Afternoon, So everything
has to be done before I go!! Yikes! I'll need several bloody
Marys on the plane just to relax after all of this! But the good
thing is that I HAVE to be DONE! All that's left to do is RELAX!!
Which i plan on doing lots of!!! Have a Blast!!

This weekend, I told the kids to start packing. DD8, bless her soul, is all packed exept for what she need to wear for the next week and a half. DS10, packed his swim suit! I still need to pack for myself (but I have pulled things to one side of the closet for packing) and fo course DH!! (He never packs for himself. :p )

From everything I have learned from here & TGM, I thought I could create the perfect itinerary, but instead, I am creating multiple ones. I am having to deal with friends coming in from Israel, so I have no idea how the jet lag will hit them. Also, I want to make sure we hit BB, so we'll have to wing that on a day when the weather is good. I only have Cirque in stone, so I guess that is good. But I will have itinerary A, B, C and maybe D.

In the mean time, I'm taking Daisie's advice:

Breath in.......Breath out..........SCREAM.........Breath in..........Breath out............
