Leaving in 3 days. What sites should I check to be updated? What else?

This is our first time staying on the property since I was in high school w/ grandparents. We are going w/our family of 6 kids and my parents. I am asking for any advice of what you veterans do before leaving?

This is our first time staying on the property since I was in high school w/ grandparents. We are going w/our family of 6 kids and my parents. I am asking for any advice of what you veterans do before leaving?

1. Make sure you have someone to pick up your mail every day.
2. Clean your refridgerator out.
3. Make sure pets are taken care of.
4. Mow grass.
5. Cut off hot water heater.
6. Make sure garage door, and all other doors and windows are locked.
7. Clean house really well.
8. If you're taking debit cards or cc, call bank or cc companies to let them know you'll be using your cards out of state.
9. Have someone to check on house periodically and water plants and lawn.

Last minute packing:
1. makeup bag
2. curling iron
3. double check to make sure you have boarding passes, resort conf#, DME info, park tickets, DDE card, drivers license, insurance cards, tip envelopes, a little cash, and credit cards. (also make sure you have extra contacts, lens case, and contact lens solution if you need them).

Last trip, I wanted to know showtimes at MGM and Animal Kingdom, so I visited the Walt Disney World Live Entertainment web page maintained by Steve Soares. (pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares) The web page states that currently, the schedule for the coming week gets posted Saturday evening. I checked it a few weeks in advance for a tentative plan. I rechecked it before we left, after Saturday evening, for the updated times. I was glad I did the last minute check: Indiana Jones and Lights, Motors, Action had changed their showtimes enough that I needed to change our MGM plan. The first performance of Voyage of the Little Mermaid is also listed.
