Leaving in 20 Days, Still No Word from Villa Owner!

I'm starting to get very nervous. I'm normally 90% packed by now but I can't bring myself to do anything untill the person I'm renting from contacts me. I have this feeling that we may not be going anywhere. The owner told me she would send me a Paypal invoice requesting the Balance 6 weeks prior to arrival, now that we are 20 days away, I still haven't gotten it. I emailed her yesterday morning and I'm waiting on a response. I feel like once I hear from her to confirm everything I will feel like I'm going on vacation. I was reluctant to book with this owner as she had no offical booking forms. I'm just hoping and praying she has our reservations and I don't run into any problems.

Has anyone else had this problem before? Not hearing from owner till the last minute.

I would post this on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions Board. There are some villa owners over there and they have great advice.

Oh boy, I know I would be nervous too...
Did you rent from a DVC owner or something off Disney property?
How much did you already pay them?
Do you have a number or address for this person?

I honestly don't know the exact situation so I'm not sure what to advise.

we always rent of site,and are always given the owners phone#.One owner was from the uk and had his phone#.Good luck.

We just put a down payment actually with someone whos rents in FL but they live in Michigan they gave us thier phone # ASAP PLUS it was on the web page and they are located in Orlando.

I would be worried also. We are renting this time also. We paid our down payment and then they called us 30 days before our arrival date to get the balance paid for. We had their email address, the physical address and the phone number from the people we were renting from. I hope that you hear from them soon and that everything works out for you.
