Leaving in 12 days :) packing lunch and bringing coolers in park

We are not doing the dining plan (staying off property at Orange Lake Resort). We're packing small collapsible coolers in the double stroller with waters, sandwiches, etc. any recommendations where to sit and eat in parks?? Anyone else bring in lunch and find some nice and easy places that seem to be good for a "picnic"? Also, can I bring those coolers into AK??

we took a soft sided cooler into DW when we went, just be prepared for them to look into the cooler & they might look into it with a stick. We had a CM poke a stick at everything, so the cups that I had packed for my DD was unusable. Who knows what that stick had touch or where it had been. The next day I put everything in clear plastic bags- no problem then, now not all CM's had sticks, some just looked & did not touch.
We did not sit & take a break, we just ate while walking, except when in HS waiting for Mater to come out for a M&G, there was not anyone there, so we just sat on the side walk and ate while waiting.

A few years ago we took our lunch to Tom Sawyer Island and sat on a bench there - it was a very nice picnic spot! I seem to remember that there were even a couple of picnic tables on the other side of the island, but we didn't find those until after we'd eaten. My kids fondly remember that day and our picnic lunch
