We are beyond thrilled!! This is our vacation of many firsts: First vacation as a family since having both our girls, First trip to Disney World as a family, and First stay as DVC members!!!

Won't be arriving until 7:30pm to MCO, but off to BLT it is and I hope we make it in time to view wishes from the TOTWL!! (weather permitting as the forcast calls for thunderstorms everyday). We will be staying at BLT for 3 nights then off to to DCL aboard the Wonder. Will have computer access so I will try to post while we are there!!!

Have a wonderful trip of firsts as well as a great cruise! I was at the Top of the World Lounge last week and it is great. Disney really got it right with BLT. Enjoy and please let everyone know about the trip when you get back!

It reall is magical.........

The flight was uneventful, we arrived at MCO at 7:40pm....made it to DME where there was no one and got on a bus with 4 other people, so 8 total. BLT was the last stop so we got here at around 9:30pm....... a little bit of construction in front of the lobby at the Contemporary so a CM loaded us into a golf cart and brought us to the side enterance. Check in was simple as I used the on-line check in and we couldn't wait to see the room......we have a LV studio BUT we have a view of MK too I requested the north tower, upper floor with a partial MK view (called DVC memberservices and also sent an e-mail). Got excatly what we wanted......it really is amazing.

My girls were spent as they normally go to bed at 8pm.....it was now close to 10pm and we had to goto TOTWL because we are DVC members and we want to make sure it sticks around (had read a thread prior to leaving yesterday about the lounge and Rich), plus we were a bit hungry. The view is utterly amazing from up there and the sounds makes it truely magical. My youngest is afraid of the 'booms' and wanted to go inside.....Rich actually pointed us to a good spot and then brought over a cushioned bar stool for my daughter so she could sit higher and see the fireworks. That was a very nice added touch from Rich....... After the show we ordered some appitizers (summer rolls and crab nachos..both were yummie) and when the food came, Rich brought over some goldfish and PB&J's for the girls......that IMO was above and beyond. He gave us many reasons to go back again tonight and tomorrow night.

Need to go wake up the girls....Cinderella awaits for a breakfast date (they have no idea...)!!!!

Oh and our room is 7806 for those wondering about the views......

What a great start to your trip! I'm so happy to hear you met Rich and that you loved TOTWL too! What a nice man and an awesome place. I can't wait to read more....makes me feel like we're back there again (a little).

Will you be reporting on your cruise as well? We're planning one in the next year and would love to hear your thoughts and ideas!

Many have been asking and wondering how much room really is in the studio rooms.....well here is a picture with the sofa bed pulled out (my girls are still sleeping). We have never stayed in any type of room as this is our first visit and the studio is okay for us but my Dh did ask last night how many points a 1 bedroom was! Next time my dear, next time!
