just sitting on my ocean view balcony waiting to go home
we have had an amazing 8 nights here at aulani. I wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone here for the tips and advice. Here are a few thoughts I hope help others!
1. If you are thinking about doing this trip as couples only and are worried- don't be. Hubby and I had an amazing time. We spentist of our aulani time at the beach, had amazing dinners on property and off, and I. General thought it was very adult friendly. We're there kids? Yep. But knowing they weren't our kids to deal with was great
next time we will bring our kids with us for sure as they too would love it.
2. Koko head. Amazing views. Incredibly hard hike. Hubby and I are in our 30s and in good shape. The hike was recommended to us by our server at Ana ama. It was soooo hard. 1100 stairs straight up. Four days later I still have pain sitting on the toilet or going up stairs
worth it? Yes!!
3. Meals. Everyone has said how expensive it is, and we didn't find it so. We spent 809 on food in 8 nights. We had some nice meals at ANA ANA et, but also did happy hour at monkey pods, as well as happy hour at chucks at the Marriott. Breakfast at Ama Ama was reasonable at 35.00 for 2. That's about what we pay at home for a nice breakfast.
4. Crowds- non existent. I would def recommend this week. We never fought for chairs, even mid day. There were 5 min waits for the water slides, and no waits at any restaurants. It was great!
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!
