So I am going to be doing the DxDP with our upcoming trip in Oct:cool1:. So three meals a day Is a bit much:scared1:, but I have always wanted to try as many places as I canpopcorn::, and on top of this its during the food and wine expo:sick:. So looking at this right now, from a far I can pretty much say I will be leaving food at the table:rolleyes:(with so many people going hungry It also makes me feel really giulty to.). From the DxDP experts out there:thumbsup2,or just ones that have did it in the past, how did you manage?, did the waiters give you funny looks when you had to leave food?. This trip will be full of dinning, this is one of the priortys for us, me and my DS :goodvibeson this trip.
I am just trying get a feel of how to go about It. Thanks:cool1:

My family really enjoys the signature meals so we use up 2 credits for 1 meal everyday. Most days we have either a late TS breakfast or an early TS lunch and then a signature dinner. This cuts down on the amount of food and we certainly are never hungry. If we need a snack, we still have 2 snack credits each to tie us over to the next meal.

The other thing to remember is this: just because you are entitled to something doesn`t mean you HAVE to order it. For example if everyone is stuffed silly, why not just order 1 dessert and share. Some people might consider this to be `wasting money`, but don`t forget, you have to pay tip on everything you order, so if you order 3 extra desserts just because your DP covers it, you are actually paying more for gratuities on food you didn`t really want anyway.

We do a lot of signature dining and seldom eat 3 meals per day. Usually we plan either a character breakfast or a quiet TS lunch and then a signature dinner in the evening. And we do sometimes skip dessert even though it is included. We're just not big on sweets so if nothing on the dessert menu jumps out at us we don't order any.

Also, keep in mind that snack credits can be used for the food samples during the food & wine festival. So that's a great time to be on the plan because the snacks are usually the part that people have a hard time using up.

You don't have to order the appetizer or dessert it comes with if you don't want to. Also, you can have them pack up leftovers if you are heading back to the resort.

we've done the deluxe several times, and agree that the best way to do it without getting over-full all the time is to eat only 2 restaurant meals a day...our preferred usage is using a snack credit for a muffin or pastry as breakfast, then table service lunch and a 2 TS dinner (like signature, or eating in the castle, or dinner show that take 2 credits.).

If you're sure you really want to try 3 restaurant meals a day, make sure your ADRs are at least 5 hours apart, preferably 6 hours. So if breakfast is at 8, schedule lunch for 1:30 or 2:00 PM, then dinner for 7:30 or 8:0O PM

And remember, that takes a LOT of time out of your park touring/pool swimming fun time. Figure at least 75 minutes if you're eating at a restaurant within the same park you're already in. If you have to travel to another park or resort, figure 2 hours minimum to get there, eat, and get back to wherever you're going. If it's a signature restaurant or dinner show, allow 3 hours minimum for travel & eating. So you can see, if you're eating at two restaurants a day, you'll be taking at least 4.5 hours out of your day to eat...if you try to do 3, the time could take 5-6 hours depending on how much traveling you have to do to get to all the restaurants.

Hay thanks thats lots of great ideas!!:cool1:,:surfweb: love the idea with useing the signature dinners:thumbsup2. I try the other day trying to eat three meals a that day and I thought I was going to explode!!:rotfl2:. Also I like the i dea of just use a meal to eat dessert, or not ordering dessert at all. We love our apptizers so there I think we would still. But that all gave me great Ideas and great ways to work around it.
So do they give you funny looks when just ordering dessert?, or leave off a meal. I am not neccerly going on there reaction but I would hate to cause them any extra work. So do you all feel your still getting your moneys worth out, if skipping meals or Items in the meals?:confused3
