We started to look at new furniture and would like to go witha leather sofa, loveseat and chair. We looked at Raymore and Flannigan today, selected of our top styles in three price ranges. Has anyone bought leather furniture at R&F? If so, were you satisfied? Do you think the price is right? We would like this to last about 12-15 years, like our current living room furniture has.

Thanks for any opinions!

We've had ours (R&F leather furniture) for about three or four years now. It's more broken in than when we first got it, but it still looks almost new. I would be shocked though if it lasted 10 or 12 years. It would be great, but I would be shocked. "They" just don't make things the way they used to. We did get the extended warranty. We haven't used it, but I guess it was worth the piece of mind. Previous to this set we had a Lane fabric reclining set (sofa and loveseat). After three years the fabric literally fell apart. It was out of warranty and it would have cost more to recovery it than it did to buy it, so we just replaced it with leather. We've been happy. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I bought my entire house from R&F and I need to say although not leather, we have had alot of issues.

Bedroom is Broyhill (antique???collection) and it is a 4 poster bed. Bottom 2 posts are sitting in corner. Both fell off at the same time....1 day past 1 year delivery and they would not fix it.

Coffee table, same collection. I fell and my chin hit corner.......wood went flying. Now to give you an idea, I had no damage to my chin...teeth and not even a bruise. Again, would not fix.....My FIL was able to fix.

I went there because it is kind of the elite and the first time we could afford something besides Unclaimed freight. I really expected more in the quality.

I hate R&F! I bought my solid wood bedroom set from them less than three years ago and the side frame cracked in year one! The wood apparently had a flaw (it is mission style sleigh bed and has that distressed knotty pine thing going on) and when I brought it to the stores attention they made me jump through massive hoops to get it repaired even though I had the stupid warranty! Also recently the drawers in one of the dressers and nightstands came off track when I pulled it out and it will NOT go back on track. I just do not like their quality and will never purchase from them again.

Look online for Bari Leather. We ordered an entire living room set from them. All leather, nailheads etc. I had not seen it in person and was just hoping it would look as good when I got it as it did online. Well, it looked even better. This set takes a beating as there are 6 of us in the house. (soon to be 7!) It is the best set I have every bought. Their customer service is excellent. I bought the extended warrantee as our last set was a Lazy Boy nightmare. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
We looked at a lot of furniture before we bought this. The leather was always thin and we didn't think it would hold up at all. This is a great grade of leather and is much richer looking and feeling than anything else we saw.

Another hater of Raymour and Flanigan here. Nothing but problems. I call them Pay more and Shenanigans... :lmao:

R & F..... bad. Stay away. It's just not us either. We got new furniture in the beginning of the summer, friends said stay away. It looks so worn already, cushions went flat and it wasn't cheap either. We would love to be able to return it, it's only 5 months old.

Well my bed is sitting on cinder blocks right now if that's any indication of the quality they sell.

Thank you for all of your opinions!!!! They were very helpful! R&F is 2 hours away from us and, well, their commercials look so good. I think we will try to stay local instead and really take some time to shop around!

Just a reminder folks when buying leather furniture, all the leather comes from basically the same suppliers. The real difference is the frame. Ask if its solid wood, plywood, or chip core. That is the real difference in leather furniture.
