When is the best time to go to Seaworld/DC/Aquatica for low crowds. I want to take my entire family so there will be toddlers and grandparents and I think it would make it easier for all if I pick a slow time. Because of their ages I also don't want to go when it's too chilly. Any advice?

We went the week after a Thanksgiving this past year. It was fabulous during the week. As long as you avoid the Christmas event days (fri, sat, sun), there will be very light crowds. I'm sure the month of September is very light also.

DC will never be crowded, they only let a certain number of people in per day to keep it "exclusive" feeling. That park is also the best estimator of crowd level, because days that are cheaper there are typically the slow season in general for the parks.

For example, August is $319 for the 1st - the 18th; then it drops to $289 for 19 - 27, and $259 for 28 - Sept 1. Then on Sept 2 it goes to $229 for the rest of the month. If you're wanting it to still be pretty warm (they do have wetsuits available and the water is heated), I'd suggest going during September, just not Labor Day weekend.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking Sept. or October. Hoping we can get a good deal on airfare & hotel during that time.

September, the day after Labor day (This year that would be Tuesday, September 2nd) and the following week is pretty much dead. September after labor day is a pretty slow month all together, even on weekends. But weather can still be a little iffy with heat and rain.

The 2nd week in January is the slowest week of the year. You will probably have decent weather. Not hot and usually not to cold unless a cold front comes through.

If you're looking in October, that's my favorite month to go. October is nice, great weather and pretty slow. But if you want to avoid crowds, avoid every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October as that is Seaworlds Halloween Spooktakular and it gets really busy on those days.
