Least crowded time of day for Blue Bayou?

We're bringing two friends with us who have never been to Disneyland. Was hoping to grab just a dessert at a waterside table at Blue Bayou for the ambiance and experience without spending too much money. Rather than take up the space during a peak mealtime if we're just having dessert, I was wondering what the best time of day on a Tuesday or Wednesday would be good to go?

Well couple of things. You can make an online reservation at Disney Dining and reserve a table for whenever it is most convenient for you. I would say feel free to order as much or as little as you like as you reserved that table and that is fair. Just dropping in to get a table the day-of makes it more of an unknown as there are variables at play for how crowded it will be through out that day (like if your Tues and Wed are Dec 22, 23, 29,30 vs Jan 19 or 20). So if you want to do it day-of, I would go over to the BB host stand in NOS and be there when it opens at 11:30am and ask them in person.

It is pretty difficult nowadays to just drop by the BB. And especially for a waterside table. People with reservations wait longer for those tables. I would imagine the easiest times are right when BB opens and maybe right before closing. But I have seen people turned away plenty during those times as well.

There is hardly a down time at the BB anymore. The place is pretty packed from opening to close. I am not sure when your visit is, but if it is during the holidays, I don't imagine you could drop by at all without a reservation.

I would make a reservation if possible. Otherwise I would ask at the podium and not be surprised if it didn't happen.
