I have seen the MOST crowded rides listed here... as what you should ride first because of lines and such... but what are the LEAST crowded? My kids have never even been on a carnival ride... I am sure they would be impressed with anything!

So, when DL and DCA are crowded... what would be the attractions with the LEAST crowds???

POTC and the HM are usually good because the line moves quickly (both high capacity rides). The Pooh ride is usualy empty, depends on when you go. But we usually walk on to that ride! LOL Snow White and Pinocchio usually have small lines.

Monsters Inc. in DCA usually isn't bad either.

Its a Small World is a fast loader as well, don't let the sight of a lot of people in the que scare you off! The Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia and the Railroad are all generally good on a crowded day, although they can get packed if its really super crowded.

Over at DCA, the Golden Zephyr and Orange Stinger are generally not too crowded. Maliboomer also is sometimes not crowded due to its scary nature and high height requirement. King Triton's Carousel is generally not bad either.

And the shows like Aladdin, the Golden Dreams movie are good on a high crowded day. You might have to wait awhile for Aladdin but at least the wait gets you into something that lasts for quite awhile. Over in Disneyland they have a movie on Main Street about the first 50 years of DL that is nice to see on a crowded day. Not sure how much longer that will run since the 50th is long over, but once its gone, they'll put back in Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln which is also a good crowd escaper.

Along with what others mentioned....in DCA the Bugs Land rides usually have pretty short lines as well.

Pinochio, Star Tours, Jungle Cruise, Disneyland RailRoad, Winnie the Pooh come to mind.

Splash Mountain at night is a ghost town. We'll go and typically ride two or three times without getting out.

I walked right on to Snow White and Pinocchio last Tuesday. Monsters Inc and Buzz Lightyear are fast lines because they are continuously loading. So even when it looks like the lines are long, the waits aren't.

the train and mark twain boat imo....

the train
There is a certain time of day on busy days when the train gets really crowded. It's a few hours before the park is closing and they are starting to take trains off the track. The trains headed for Main St. from Toontown are really crowded and sometimes full. I've seen only a few people get on at Tomorrowland Station while everyone else had to wait for the next train.

The conductor does their best to make space by telling everyone to move over, but it's not always enough. At this point I would just walk to the exit.

yeah your right...i would never get on the train at tomorrowland or toontown...but I dont usually have any problems getting on at NOS station or at Main St. station

I think one of the best things to do at Disneyland is to go catch a train at Main Street station. Walt would have agreed. I always check to see which train I am getting on as they all have their own histories, it is total DL!

LOL! Nothing beats the power of low expectations!

Most rides aren't crowded first thing in the morning.

The best afternoon ride, IMHO, is the hotel pool!

Peter Pan gets crowded instantaneously upon opening. :sad1:

In my experience, shortest lines in general throughout the day:

Snow White's Scary Adventures
Pinocchio
Golden Zephyr
Orange Stinger
Monsters, Inc.
Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Rides that usually have short lines no matter what time of day.
DL:
-Snow White
-Pinocchio
-Mark Twain/Sailing Ship Columbia/Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes
-Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh
-Jungle Cruise
-HISTA
-Tiki Room
-Tarzan's Treehouse

DCA:
-Golden Zephyr
-King Triton's Carousel
-It's Tough to be a Bug
-MuppetVision
-Monster's Inc.
-A Bug's Land rides

However these rides might have slightly longer lines, but they move so quickly that it's not very noticeable.
DL:
-Haunted Mansion
-Pirates
-It's A Small World
-Buzz

The Golden Zephyr ride was so uncrowded that they were letting us just stay on and ride it multiple times when we were there last November.
