We're going in June. What are the least crowded restaurants that are reasonably priced and have adult meals that would still appeal to a picky toddler. She'll eat off of our plates for the two days we are in the park.

Thank you!

The Hungry Bear never seems to have a crowd. There is ample seating around Rivers of America. Check out the new menu at Allears.com. Plenty of healthy choices.

Another suggestion would be Whitewater Snacks at the Grand California. Quiet and a nice escape from the parks. Super close and good choices.

I'll second the hungry bear, it's a nice quiet location tucked away up in critter country. Sit near the water and let your little one feed the ducks! :)

I agree! There are only two rides in the area and part of the park is very secluded and kind of off in the corner. The Hungry Bear is pretty large with plenty of room and I have never really seen it crowed. The next best place is Gepettos in fantasy land behind Pinochios ride and across from casey jr. It usually isnt that bad there. If not there then the counter service by the fantasy fair has a decent amount of tables with smaller crowds. I like there food there too :goodvibes

These are my 2 favorites as well. HB was def the ducks and quiet before but now I am excited about their new menu. You must try the amzing Nachos at Whitewater Snacks at the GCH wonderful!

....and even though Whitewater Snacks is technically outside DCA, its really just as close as if it were inside the park. It has indoor seating, plus shady outdoor seating. We love going there...

I went to Liberty Tree Tavern in MK around 7o'clock and it was practically empty! Walked in and got a table right away! Not to mention, it was absolutely delicious! One of the best meals I've had in a long while.

Liberty Tree Tavern is at WDW. The OP is asking about DLR. Good suggestion though! :thumbsup2 We love LTT! :goodvibes

That would definitely be my two top choices. However, my best recommendation for eating without crowds would be to try to eat at off times. Grab breakfast at the hotel (maybe buy groceries for in the room or complimentary breakfast) so that you can eat lunch before 11:30 or so. Or grab a late lunch after 2:00. Same thing with dinner, I would say aim for 4:30 or go later after 8:00 if you can wait. Eating at non-traditional times you should be able to find many more places without the crowds. popcorn::

And don't forget you can always grab snacks in between or bring in your child's favorite snacks. :thumbsup2

IMO, Hungry Bear is your best bet! In DCA, we really love the Lucky Fortune Cookery and Pacific Wharf. :)

In addition to Hungry Bear....

I like Royal Street Veranda and Harbor Galley and take the food into the park by the NOS train station to eat.

How do you get to Whitewater Snacks? Do you go through the hotel?

In DCA, about across from the path from the GRR entrance is an exit(obviouse because there is a few CMs manning the turnstyles). It goes under the hotel(through a sort of tunnel through the building). Make a right when this "tunnel" ends. Where that walkways ends make a left. Whitewater Snacks will be on your right. After eating you can go back the same way to return to DCA.

There is an exit from DCA to the Grand Californian just beyond the Condor Flats (Soarin') area, before you get to Grizzly River Run. After passing through the turnstiles, go to the end of the "hallway" and turn left. You'll run right into it.

If you're already in the hotel, just follow the signs to Storytellers and Napa Rose. WWS is to the right of Napa Rose, down a short walkway.

Yup! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 It's very easy to find and one of our favorites! Just make sure to hang on to your receipt after your meal to re-enter DCA through the turnstiles by GRR. You need to either be a hotel guest or have eaten at one the restaurants (they ask for your receipt as proof) in GCH to use that entrance.

Oh really? I didn't know you could use your receipt from Whitewater Snacks to re-enter via the turnstiles. Good to know! We eat there every trip but have never been fortunate enough to stay at the GCH.

I highly recommend making a reservation at the Carnation Cafe. It is one of our favorite places to eat. It is right on Main Street and everyone in our family of four just loves it--including our two young children. Our son first ate there when he was 2.5 and he loved it even then.

Thank you all! I am adding Whitewater Snacks (along with the directions to get there) to our list now. Just a few more days... :yay:
