Has anyone purchased one of these things? It looks like a Gameboy but quizzes kids on questions for school. You can even download quizzes/tests from the textbooks used at your school.

My daughter loves her gameboy and I'm wondering if this is a good way to get her to study. All her textbooks are available for download, which is why this is really interesting me.

Just curious if anyone has used one of these gadgets and if your child liked it.

TIA,
Wendy

I work in a middle school and I have seen them in the main office. I love leapfrog products, and this looks like agreat product.

The only thing I could think of that could be a problem would be downloading textbook material that your school uses. Maybe your district uses older books., or a lesser known publisher.

My older son has one and it's ok. The multiple choice questions that it uses really stress the important definitions from the chapters, so it is a good way to get those memorized. The quizzes and tests are all Multiple Choice, so it does fall a bit short in getting them to prepare for essay and long answer type questions.

I think he has found it most helpful for Math and Science. The English part is useless to him, as all his Language Arts program centers around writing essays and book reports.

He definately doesn't prefer it to his Gameboy however. :)
