Anyone try this yet? I'm not even 100% sure what exactly flan is, but I'm thinking I might try it since I'm sure we will eat there and I usually get the fruit plate at 3 Broomsticks. So if you've had it-can you describe what it is texture wise and how it tastes?

Hmm...well I've never had it there, but it is like a custard that is baked in the pie type pan then put onto a plate and covered in caramel sauce typically. I have had it before homemade, and it was good. I dunno how it is there though.

Sorry I'm not too sure if I was much help.

Well the flan that I know is a Latin /Spanish egg and milk custard with caramel sauce, similar to the French creme caramel, they usually have condensed and evaporated milk, cream and can be made with different flavirs ,everything from guava to coconut.I've had some really good ones and some not so good ones,I like the Cuban version a company called Lila's distributes, its got a more thick consistency than some other ones that have a soft eggy feel.I have no clue what the British version they're selling at Three Broomsticks is like,it could be a totally different thing.

Well I guess I will give it a try-sounds like something I could give or take either way. I did google it but the only picture I could find was of some pink stuff so I wasn't sure.

In my search for reviews, this is what I found...

~The apple oatmeal flan is equally as good though if you like cinnamon and oatmeal :-)

~Hubs had the Apple Oatmeal Flan with Yogurt & Fruit - Freshly Baked Flan of Apples and Oatmeal served with Yogurt and Fresh Seasonal Fruit. He thought it was ok

Still looks like a muffin to me!

Will try next trip but I have never heard of adding apples and oatmeal to flan. No wonder the flan looks so odd.
The flavors won't clash so it should be OK.

Does this relate to something in one of the Potter books?

Sadly, there was nothing flan-like about it. :(

It tasted fine, but it was more like just a bowl of apple-flavored oatmeal... The consistency was NOT anything like flan.

I am glad I tried it, I guess, but I wouldn't order it again. If you love flan and are hoping for something "flanny," you'll be disappointed.

Thanks for the warning.
