Le Cellier vs Bistro de Paris

The situation is this:

I have dinner reservations at Bistro de Paris on 5/26. I also needed lunch reservations for 5/23.........I decided to try Le Cellier, but no luck (I wasn't intending to dine there because I can get steak at home, but it generally gets raves and the menu looks delish). So, now that I've seen the menu, I'm torn. I'm going to make a dinner reservation for the 26th and then I'll have to cancel one of the reservations as, no matter how hungry I am, I can not have 2 dinners in one night, lol.

So, I love French food and I love steak (I also love maple products, so the maple creme brulee sounds yummy - though I kind of think of creme brulee as old-fashioned and not that interesting), but I can't have both. Which one do you all recommend that I stay with?

I picked the 6:20 reservation (as opposed to 7:40) so that I could be out in time to get decent seats for Illuminations......although that may be too early for me.

Thanks!

Keep the Bistro reservation. Basically that restaurant is second only to V&A in quality of both food and service of any restaurant in WDW.

I agree with Cheshire, keep the Bistro ADR. Also, LC is going signature in a couple of weeks for dinner, so the menu you are looking at will probably not be the same. IMHO, LC is one of the most overrated and over-hyped restaurants on site. Everything seems to be way too salty and the cuts of steak or not impressive (think of it as an Outback or some other steak house chain).

Keep the Chefs Reservation. LC is to me overrated and just one step above an Outback, if that. Perhaps when it goes signature, if they revamp the kitchen, things might be better- but we won't know that until March.

Thank you all!

After I made the reservation, I did more research and I found that Le Cellier was getting very mixed reviews. So, I will cancel that one and keep Bistro, which I'm very happy to do.

So now I'm thinking of lunch on one of my EPCOT days. Tangieriene Cafe sounds great, but I'm thinking of Rose and Crown - not least because of the sticky toffee pudding. Thoughts?

Thanks again!

Thanks for the LC food reviews, we are going to WDW in May and we were thinking of going to LC because of all the past reviews, now we will pcik somewhere else, thanks

You made a wise decision! Bistro is so much better than Le Cellier.

As for lunch at Epcot, we love Teppan Edo (especially, if you order the filet mignon--that's what made it truly special for us). The menu at Via Napoli intrigues me, but I have not tried it yet--next trip for sure! We also like Coral Reef. The portions are small, but the Grilled Mahi Mahi with Jasmine rice was so good!

Good luck :goodvibes

Thanks - I'm glad to get further confirmation that Le Bistro is the right choice.

I think I'll probably play it by ear for my first EPCOT lunch (2nd, on the 25th, is at San Angel Inn). I may go to Le Tangieriene - although that's not near where I'll be entering WS from FW. I was thinking of maybe the pub at Rose and Crown - if for nothing else than the sticky toffee pudding, lol. They can't really mess up (can they, lol?) what they have on that simple menu. Teppan Edo is Japanese? I'm not a real fan of Japanese; I will check out the menu for Via Napoli, but I can get really good pizza in NY, so unless it blows me away, I'd probably aim for foods I can't get at home.

Hmm, for some reason, Teppan Edo and Via Napoli do not have menus on Disneyworld.com

Both of my meals have been good at Rose & Crown, so I do not think you will go wrong with that one! You can find the menus by doing a search on google, too. Sounds like you have a great vacation planned!
