I just booked our ADRs for our trip July 29 - Aug 5. We wanted Le Cellier for Aug. 3, and there's nothing available, at least on the Disney website. I even tried smaller tables (there are 6 of us, so I tried 4 and 2) and no go. It says there's nothing available between 5:30 - 9:30. Is it closed for rehab?

I booked the Yachtsman instead, so I still get my steak. I'm just surprised, that's all.

I decided to call because I couldn't believe it was totally booked. And it wasn't - there are tons of slots open! I got my ADRs for 6 people at 7:30 pm. There must be something screwy with the online booking. The CM was great - she apologized for the problems and got us set.

That's great! Glad you got your ADR!!

We're excited. We haven't eaten at Le Cellier for at least 5 years. I had the Yachtsman booked as our back-up, but I really didn't want to leave the park and get changed to nicer clothes.

People have reported that for dinner reservations after March 1 they've been much more successful when calling in. It probably has to do with the changeover to Signature Dining status for the restauran.

Like the OP did, if you're looking for dinner, try calling instead of online. For awhile, you couldn't book dinner online, it just kept coming up as unavailable, but persons who called said they were able to book. Apparently dinner reservations after March can be booked by phone but not online. Sanaa was the same way for a long time.

(Remember also that Le Cellier dinner is scheduled to change after March 1. It will cost 2 DDP credits then. They're also supposed to change the menu, so you may not get the menu you remember from dining there in the past.)

You could try walking up, you may think I'm nuts like I thought my DW was in October during a busy Saturday Food and Wine Fest day. DW says lets take a walk over to Le Cellier she just loves the place and we had been there earlier in the week with an ADR. I said ok we were at Germany so that's quite a walk for what I thought was a wasted trip. We walked up and were in and seated in about 10 minutes and there were lots of seats empty around, a few others walked up and got in also. I know on line it's totally book at 180 days out but they weren't full, I wonder if they started leaving seats for walk-ups?

I don't think they're saving seats for walkups. I'd guess that during the F&W fest that some people make ADRs and after sampling food all day decide to skip dinner.:earsboy:

I agree. Also it could be that in less than 1 month this place is going to be a signature restaurant and for whatever reason, WDW, in their infinite wisdom has yet to release what the menu is going to be. If I was making an adr for this place for either lunch or dinner, I would have plan B ready to go just in case the menu just doesn't "WOW" me. :goodvibes

Or until some reviews start to come in. For all we know the prices go up, but the food quality stays the same and continues to be nothing more than a glorified Outback-type steakhouse. :confused3

That too. And not to be pessimistic, but this would not surprise me either. :)

If it has changed to a Signature after March 1st., will the restaurant have a dress code??

I don't think so because the Brown Derby doesn't have a dress code, and that's a signature restaurant as well. I think the ones with dress codes are outside the theme parks (i.e. California Grille, Narcoosees, Citricos, etc.).

Seems to me that for the most part dress codes have gone out the window. The only restaurant that I am aware of that is still strict on their dress code is V&A. Lots of people (including us) still dress nicely to most signatures, but then there are others who will go in whatever they wore to the parks that day.

Even the "signature dress codes" in the resorts don't exclude park clothing, unless your park clothing includes swimwear, torn clothes or cutoffs, or tank tops (on the men).

Just called and spoke to a human - No Le Cellier for us at lunch on the days we wanted. :(

Sorry you weren't able to get your ADR but keep trying. I booked Le Cellier for dinner last August about 35 days out. At that time you were still able to book both dinner and lunch online. Since you're looking for a lunch slot you can just hop online every time you have a few minutes to check.

For everyone else, Le Cellier times aren't available online right now. Until the switch to 2 TS credits is complete we're going to have to call for those dinner ressies. So don't look for dinner online and give up!

Thanks for this thread. I was able to get Le Cellier for August 4 today. I had to call. The online system showed nothing for the entire week.

Ditto this - I was worried about getting a reservation until I saw this thread! I was able to book a tentative reservation for August 3 and, today, the one I really wanted for August 6. If anyone needs it, the one for August 3 was for 6:45 for two people and was canceled about two hours ago :)
