Le Cellier time delays

DH and I are heading to "Canada" for dinner one day for a 4pm ADR and was curious about how long do you think dinner will be? we are on DDP and don't necessarily want to rush but....

Dinner will usually take about an hour to an hour and a half.

Unless the gas is out in the kitchen. Then you don't get to eat there at all, like what happened to us this past October. A whole night (October 10th) was cancelled and rebooked at other dining establishments because they couldn't cook in the kitchen.

Le Cellier always runs late to get in (been there 3 times and late each time). They were dead slow on my April trip. See my dining review - Princess Auroras Food Porn for review and pics.

Our last visit (late Nov., early Dec 07) we had 9 table service reservations. At 8 of them we were seated immediately. Le Cellier - dinner reservation was for 7PM - were not seated until 8.

last oct, we had an ADR for 5:30PM at LC.
we were seated sometime after 8 (by that time i was so tired & hungry i couldn't read my watch to see exactly ).

btw, we did ask a few times ~ they had a "back up" (there were so many ppl yelling at the staff, we didn't want to "annoy" them further so just sat, & stood, & sat, & walked, & waited.......... )

Don't worry about 4pm though. The restaurant opens then. We always try to do dinner around opening at Le Cellier because you get seated right away. We learned that the hard way unfortunately.

Oh my goodness, I hope you were able to get a good 2nd choice.

Hmmm and hour to wait Looks like I may have issues with scheduling anything after dinner and before the PPP.

After 8??? Holy Moly!! I would not have waited that long! Goodness, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience there, I hope it was worth the wait.

Oh! That is very good news!! I really want to squeeze in special something for our anniversary after dinner and before the PPP. This gives me a little hope. I'll have to see what I can do.

WOW - I just booked an ADR today for June - our last 2 trips to wdw I couldn't get an ADR there so this time I made it right away. But even at 180 days out I had to take either 4:30 or 7:30 so I took the 7:30 because I thought 4:30 was too early for a big meal on what will hopefully be a hot sunny summer day! But now I'm a little worried - if the waits can get that long you'd think someone at Disney would have recognized a problem with the scheduling. Anyway, I think I'll make a point of arriving early because I was counting on being out of there in time for Illuminations!

We've never been seated that late for any reservation at LeCellier. I think the most we had to wait was fifteen minutes with our party of twelve. Actually, I've never had to wait more than fifteen or twenty minutes at ANY Disney restaurant to be seated.
